Alright hotel

Have to say I was a little disappoint based on the reviews and the photos provided by the hotel. The modern and high-end look of the photos do not reflect the property. It is more of a rental than a nice hotel. The leather couch present in the photos was non-existent. Instead, they had a futon-like couch that was not the most comfortable. The bed was a bit too firm for my liking, and the bedding had black, debris-like things on the sheets. They did change the sheets upon my request, though. Finally, the area is not the best. I wouldn’t call that part of the city Long Island City. It is more like the southern edge of Astoria. It was safe, but I don’t know if everyone would feel comfortable.

Lovely stay

Great stay in the King Suite; it looks exactly like the pictures! Very comfortable for hanging out in living and kitchen area, good mattress on the bed. We arrived early, dropped off luggage, and it was brought to our room before we checked in later. There is a nice room with water and coffee on the first floor, as well as a small fitness room. Free parking on the street was easy (check street cleaning signs). Close to Queensboro Plaza with a variety of subway lines for commuting around the city.

Very nice property. Quiet, semi-residential neighborhood. Plenty of places to eat nearby and very convenient to subway (N,W,7). Its about a 15 min train ride into the city, but value (cost/room size) more than makes up for it

Wonderful Home away from Home!

What an amazing place to stay near Astoria! The staff are wonderful and service is great. The rooms are spacious and beds comfy. There is a Bodega next store that makes wonderful grilled sandwiches and other necessities. A must stay if you are visiting New York and looking for a unique, safe and friendly place to stay!

Mostly enjoyed the space which was cool and unique but a bunch of trash under bed and false $380 charge for smoking in room which never happened. Especially after the front desk told me no smoking at check-in so I feel a bit scammed.
