The rooms need work. Bathroom door was fraying at top and bottom, entire bottom of backlit mirror was decomposing and not lit. There was a great deal of drywall dust in the corner from what appear to be recent attempts at renovations on the ceiling. The bed was extremely comfortable and I slept well. It was quiet. It just needs some help aesthetically. Staff were very friendly.

No ready room

There was a long line to check in at 930pm on sat 5/17. We get to desk and learn that the room isn’t ready because of “housekeeping” issues. Which 7 hours after you should be able to check in is bullsh$t. Turns out it was over booking issues. They tell us to sit in bar area and will bring key when room is ready. Two and half hours later the desk clerk says oh here’s your key the room has been ready. There was no accountability. Manager was dealing with only one man and not rest of us. No efforts made to correct or adjust bill or make it right. They seemed put out dozens of us were frustrated.

A good place to stay while we visit family. Very, very disappointed by the 40 dollar a day “resort fee”. It is by no means a resort and gave only 10 or 15 percent off of some food and activities, as compensation. Not cool and we considered it a cash grab rip off.

This property is located in a great area, just a few minutes from all the action in manhattan. It’s an old hotel but my family and I had a great time.

My daughter and I enjoyed our hotel stay. Although there were a few minor issues in our room, they were addressed immediately. The location of Park Central was definitely a big reason we stayed there. We utilized the taxis, subway along with all the walking we did. I would highly recommend PC and would stay there again.

The location was ideal. The elevators were really small so very crowded, especially in the mornings. A real negative on the stay was when they tried to charge me $500 US for smoking in the suite. We were all non-smokers. They said their sensor picked it up. It was a totally money grab and left a very bad impression. Overall I would give the hotel a 3 out of 5
