Park Central Hotel NYC — Not Worth the Price Disappointing stay. The hotel feels tired and overpriced for what it offers. The room was cramped — the bathroom door barely cleared the toilet — and the overall cleanliness left a lot to be desired. The staff seemed indifferent and slow to respond, which didn’t help. And the bar closing at 10:30 p.m.? In New York City, that’s just absurd. With so many great places to stay in Manhattan, I’d recommend looking elsewhere.

It was generally good but they asked to pay extra charge for destination fee and tax. Even though I had already paid the hotel bill in advance, the hotel bill was paid by my credit card automatically without any notice during check in and check out. It made me crazy and it was struggling to cancel wrong payment.

Hotel is ideally situated close to Central Park and Times Square, has subway station close by. We have stayed here the past 9 years sometimes twice a year, this year we were disappointed with the standard of the room, wallpaper peeling in several places, also bathroom door showed signs of water damage; paint and wood peeling and water marks.

The hotel is located in an optimal part of the city. Easy access to shopping and restaurants and Central Park. It has tremendous value for its location. Easy access to east and west side. Mass transportation available in all directions. In a city where the expenses Are high .Park Central offers such value … it should not be missed!

Took forever to get checked in, and my room wasn’t available for an extra hour. Asked for extra pillows 3 days in a row - never received them. The shower didn’t work properly, when addressed they said they’d look at getting me in a different room and they never followed up. Asked for a fan, never received it. These are little things…but they added up.

The location is great for walking to Central Park, Broadway and Times Square. The subway is right next to the hotel, which makes everything easy. The staff were all fantastic, but the hotel is in need of updates. The door to my room (453) had gouges in it like someone took a hammer to it, and a strip of carpet was torn up just inside the door. All things being considered, I would stay here again.
