This was my second visit, and the location is convenient for getting to Lincoln Center, Juilliard, and Upper Manhattan. The staff weren't as friendly as at other places. The hotel is clean and the water pressure is good.

The staff was great, the lobby was in great condition but the room was lacking. The blinds were dirty and stained. The bathroom didn’t function well. The sink spashed water all over you. The rain shower head dripped cold water while I showered. The ac didn’t cool well and was loud as it cut off and on through the night. There were noises coming from the walls.

Great location. Beyond that, the hotel is not very good - very run down and dark. The carpet was ripped in our room. The heating/air unit did not work properly. We had a large roach jump from under the curtains and scurry across the floor. On a positive note, the staff was very friendly and helpful.

The only good things about this hotel: friendly helpful staff and proximity to Lincoln centre! Rooms were so run down: chipped doors; shower not working properly, water temperature hard to control; room extremely hot: rather than being on the wall, the thermostat is built inside the radiator which is rusty and blowing out dust. The cloth rack is so high that they gave me a foot stool to step on: which is not safe for a 72 yrs old guest Definitely not a 4 star hotel, more like 2 star

I was in town for a work conference and booked this hotel for a few days. Location was great, it was clean, staff was very kind and friendly! Loved the complementary bottles of water. Our room needed some things fixed in it but for the price, location, rooftop bar, and staff this hotel was great and I will definitely be returning!

Staff were wonderful, cleaning staff are the best! Rosa’s serves a phenomenal breakfast. Remember it’s an old hotel, so some of the furniture and finishes are worn, but they keep it clean! My only suggestion is to put in better gym equipment. I used the gym only once as I felt some of the gear was falling apart. Great location, area is very walkable. Empire hotel made the trip memorable! Highly recommend!
