Excellent location, great view on the Lincoln Center, spacious suite. The bathroom is ill fitted, no space to wash your hands comfortably between the sink and faucet, faucet splashes on you and soak your clothes; awful lighting, shower head way up in the high ceiling, weird shower faucet. Every piece of furniture badly scratched or torn. One draped blind broken, couldn’t be rolled up. The drawers in the dresser don’t stay closed when clothes are inside. No coffee machine or kettle in the room, or even morning coffee in the lobby is a bit negative point.

I have always stayed at the Empire Hotel when in NY. However this was my worst stay. I got there early and the room was not ready which was fine, that’s what I expected. I was supposed to be notified when a room was available but was never notified. The room had some damage on one of the walls which I reported. The day of checkout was the worst housekeeping knocked at my door at 8 am asking me if I was ready to checkout. I told her no and put the do not disturb sign on the door. At 9:30 the housekeeper actually keyed open the door and started to enter my room and asked me again about checkout which is supposed to be 12:00 again I told her not yet. I ended up checking out early as I felt I was being pressured into leaving. I have never had any issues with prior stays at the Empire.

Our room was in extremely poor condition- mildew, damaged furniture, carpets not hoovered. Overall condition of the hotel is poor. I have stayed in 4 star hotels all over the world- the Empire Hotel is not in the same league. Compliments on the location and doorman!

The location of the property os great. So much to see and do so close by. Subway entrance was also close. What i didn't like id rooms are small and bathroom is tiny. Everyone was super nice and helpful.
