Great location, can’t beat it for access to Lincoln center. Great restaurant- Rosa Mexicana! My only real complaint is that the room was too hot and there was no way to turn the heat off (or even lower the temperature). Very hard to sleep well in those circumstances :(

We had a wonderful time at the Empire Hotel. We checked in so easily and were even upgraded to a suite!! I could not believe how kind Aerial was at the front desk. The hotel is so convenient to everything ! Walking distance to Central Park and Lincoln Center. Will stay here again on our next visit !

Loved everything except the room was cold, heater blew cool air even when changed to heat & temp cranked up. On 3rd day we called front desk & were told they’re get someone to come check it OR bring extra blankets (it was Thanksgiving day so we didn’t expect a repairman). But when we got back later that nite it was even colder & we had no blankets. After we called front desk again they sent up extra blankets & a space heater which was perfect. Otherwise we loved it & would/will stay again!

This place is filthy, not sure how they got 4 stars and charge so much money. It stinks, your bathrooms are rusty and not clean. The room is in a very bad condition, air conditioning is horrible. I will never stay here again even if you pay me for that.

Can't beat the location and the staff was truly lovely, but hotel rooms desperately need renovation. At the very least, new mattresses and pillows - they were super uncomfortable and the pillows were lumpy, as if they were decades old. For what the hotel charges, they need to do a bit better.

The hotel room was dated and had a mildew smell, heat was set to 85 degrees and the adjustment was broken, we tried to call the front desk no one ever answered, we went to the front desk they said they’d fix it immediately, they never did. After check out we had an additional charge for $68 from the hotel, we never received a receipt, I’ve messaged and called with no response, my daughter was so excited since this was the iconic “Gossip Girl” hotel. The lobby was beautiful.
