Housekeeping needs improvement

We arrived prior to check-in time so our room was not ready yet. The lady who checked us in said they would email us or call us when our room was ready but we did not receive a call or email. When we got into our room we had to call the front desk to inform them that the floors in the room were dirty and the couch had a brown stain on it. There were toenails on floor so the floor had obviously not been vacuumed. They sent housekeeping up to clean the floors. On a positive note, the room was larger than expected for a room in nyc and the beds were comfortable.

On the first day of start- there was no water in the shower. All of us had to leave for the day without showering. Kano in the room was not working. Next day, with different from ( had booked two rooms for next day) , shower drain was clogged in one room and lamp not working in 2 nd. When complained to front desk and asked to speak manager, we were told her is busy and asked to email him. Really bad experience. Will not recommend to friends and family.
