We have stayed at this hotel multiple times in the past due to its convenient location next to grand central. Each time we've left nothing but the best reviews and rave about it to everyone we know and meet up with while in the city. This experience was not that. We were in the city to attend an event at 7pm and booked a 1 bedroom suite for the night knowing check in was 4pm, that gives us atleast 2 hours to get ready before we had to leave. When we arrived the front desk notified us that the person staying it in before us did a late check out so our bedroom would not be ready until 4:45. I explained that my boyfriend was performing at 7pm and we needed to get into our room. He assured us they were on it and somehow had no other rooms to move us too but we were able to use the living area. They had also said they would call us once it was done. We went down at 4:50pm, 5:30pm, and then ended up leaving around 6:20pm and our room still was not ready. We did not get back until very late, and by that point I still had not received any call or text of confirmation our room was done, so at 3am we had to go back to the front desk to have them open our bedroom. For $700 a night, we got a living space for a few hours and had to ask for our bed at 3am. I can't say I will stay their again or recommend to anyone else, and this visit we had gotten three other groups to stay their as well.
