We stayed here with 2 kids for a wedding. We chose this hotel for central NYC location and for price. We would have preferred to stay downtown for restaurant choices etc but this hotel was by far, less expensive. Staff was great. Transportation was excellent (the subway is in the building!). Walkable to Times Square (least fave area) and Chelsea but nothing really to do here. Room clean and quiet. Bathroom kind of stunk. A few homeless people sleeping around the building but not unsafe.

Location is perfect for easy travel around the city, even with kids; it’s right above grand central station and transportation was easily accessible. The hotel is clean and modern however I had to call every single day for additional towels as they would often only 1 or 2 towels total. Also, although there are multiple elevators, there was always a line and a long wait time. The hotel also doesn’t offer a workspace area but they offer charging you a fee for a private space to use if needed. Restaurant on-sure doesn’t offer kids options but easy walk to many food stands in grand central station.

Property desperately needs a refresh. Rooms are dated and dingy, wallpaper peeling, stained couches, power plugs not working, phone (to call front desk) not working. Nighttime front desk agent was so rude, elevator was dirty and super old, just a total disappointment, given what it once was.
