Stayed 12/17–12/19. The location of this hotel is excellent; however, the experience was disappointing. On our first night, the elevators were not functioning properly. We waited over an hour just to get an elevator, which was extremely frustrating. Despite there being approximately 10 elevators in a 40+ floor hotel, only one was working at the time—this is completely unacceptable. The staff was not helpful during this situation. One staff member simply told us to “try the service elevator through that door” and walked away, appearing far more interested in ending his shift than assisting guests. Additionally, there were no washcloths in our room. We called the front desk to request them, but they did not arrive until the following morning. While the location is a major plus, the hotel itself feels dated and is clearly in need of upgrades—especially a reliable elevator system. Unfortunately, this stay did not meet expectations.

Hotel was beautiful. However, couldnt check in until after 9pm because rooms werent ready! Hotel parking is valet only, with no access to your vehicle once checked in, for $85 USD a night. Room access was super inconvenient after all day travel and since I paid for it...but location is perfect!

This was a very chaotic stay… I would consider this a substandard Sheraton/Bonvoy group Marriott group hotel. No room service, Cold showers, long waits (very long lines (45+people) for check-in, even with elite status), take 15 minutes to get an elevator down to the lobby, breakfast line was insanely long, they have what they’re calling a Starbucks, but it’s really just a makeshift Café that they run themselves and serve Starbucks from, a very bizarre restaurant set up that I believe is due to some sort of renovation, but leaves guests in a bit of a quandary… The rooms are in desperate need of a renovation for example. I have a long gash in my closet door that seems to have been degrading overtime without Repair. The coffee station is totally empty. There’s no mini bar. There’s no water in the rooms. There’s no do not disturb placards for the door. Had to wait another 20 minutes in line to get my room re-keyed, and that was in the Bonvoy Elite line otherwise would’ve been twice as long conservatively. I guess Sheraton gets away with the substandard property and level of service because it’s at Times Square… Very disappointed.

The toilet exploded and they didn’t have another 2 bed room. But we were ok with even that. We then asked for linens to make our 4 person room work with 1 bed and a couch. They didn’t deliver them for 2 hours, it was 1 am when we finally got them after 3 trips downstairs and standing in line for 45 mins each time. A total of 5 hours just to get linens to be able to put our kids to bed for our expensive NYC adventure. Unacceptable.

There was a check-in line that was at least 50 people deep from the moment we arrived until the moment we left. Given the known holiday traffic, it was inexcusable to not have a larger staff prepared for the check-in counters. The room was old and the bathroom shower was very old and dirty. The hotel had chairs blocking random doors and other things poorly trying to mask out of service areas and areas that needed to be renovated. We had a $35 daily fee assessed for food/drink on the property and the “Starbucks” was no more than 3 containers of coffee and a tray of prepackaged Jimmy Dean breakfast sandwiches to choose from. The worst part was having 2 adjoining rooms and paper thin walls. One of the rooms seems to have had their bathroom on the other side of the adjoining door where we could hear everything going on in that room at 5 am. On the other adjoining door, it was people making noise at 2 am. This was absolutely the most overpriced and aging hotel that has no business operating in its current state and condition.

The entire hotel is a bit outdated, however the property is in a prime location. My room did not have wash clothes and I was told by housekeeping that there were none available in the hotel. NOT, good. Entire staff was very pleasant.

Room was very nice. Clean for the most part with lots of extra rags and towels. Only one bar of soap to share between hand washing and body wash. Beds were very comfortable. Can’t give it 5 stars due to elevator situation. If you are higher than the first 27 floors be prepared to wait 20+ minutes or climb stairs as only a couple elevators service the higher floors, and of those, only 1 elevator ever actually picks you up. It got so bad one evening that they started taking people into the maintenance rooms to take the service elevators which also took 30+ minutes. We were on floor 31 so we would take the working elevators up to 27 then climb the 4 up and down each time. Still overall very good stay. Great location to absolutely everything and the subway entrance being right at the foot of the hotel was extremely beneficial.

The room was okay except it smelled like feet and the tried to cover it up with perfume instead of cleaning it. I tried to call customer service to get more coffee cups and coffee and was on hold for over 30 minutes and still talked to no one. Also we’re having issues with charges to our room that we’re trying to resolve.
