We stayed overnight on a Friday to see a matinee on Saturday. The hotel was walking distance to a lot of restaurants, bars and the theatre. Not too far from Times Square and Madison Square Garden. Though we were already checked out they held our bags until after the show and hailed a cab for us. I was traveling with my sister so it was nice to find a reasonable place with two beds which were comfortable.The only negative I encountered was the shower which was very old and worn and challenging to adjust to temperature.

Wonderful

I was in town for NY fashion week, and stayed overnight at the Belvedere. Everything was excellent! The staff was so professional and nice! The gentleman at the service desk was amazing and the bellmen were so helpful and friendly. The rooms were very clean and comfortable. I will definitely be back for September fashion week!

Best option for the Theater District

My arrival wasn’t great - room could have been cleaner and it was missing some towels, but all was good after that. Housekeeping on subsequent days was impeccable and easily worked around my strange hours. Have stayed at the Belvedere at least a dozen times and it remains my favorite choice for the Theater District. The location cannot be beat for quick access to Broadway theaters, lots of restaurants and coffee shops, and several major subway lines, including the E to JFK.

I love the staff and this property. It's my hotel of choice, while I'm in Manhattan, but, this stay didn't happen. My wallet and id were stolen on the 31st. I still had a photo of my id in my phone from a PayPal verification I needed to take care of. They let me use the photo, once, but, wouldn't let me use the id, again, for the second night (this booking). I lost my money and my night at the hotel. I ended up having to stay in diners and cafes all night, since that was my budget for the day. I've spent a LOT of money at this property and they have my id on file. I just hit a run of bad luck. They could have been more understanding, considering I know, like, and get along with all the staff. It was extremely inconvenient, costly, and cold treatment, when I expected it to be kinder and more accepting.
