I was referred to this hotel by a friend. I could not be more pleased! The room was perfect and cozy and had the most wonderful view from the 20th floor. The city looked beautiful both night and day! This was a fun and active environment with a great restaurant And vibe but when you were ready to turn in, it was peaceful and quiet. And added bonus, was the chocolate croissant and coffee in the morning. Seriously the best chocolate croissant I’ve ever had in my life. I felt incredibly comfortable and safe. This hotel gave off wonderful energy. Thank you!

Quiet, clean and very nice place to stay in the busy big apple. I loved the bunk rooms. We took our 3 boys and a friend of theirs and the room was great for the 4 of them. The bar in the lobby made great latte too!

Was told upon arrival that the room that I had booked was not available due to an unforeseen circumstance. I was offered a room that only had a king bed for my husband, myself and my son. We definitely did not fit and I could not sleep all night. Definitely the worst experience I’ve had in a long time. Would like to have known what the unforeseen circumstance was, or to at least have gotten some credit towards some thing. I specifically booked this room as it would have a bunkbed for my son. He was very disappointed as were we. We were also told it was because we booked through Expedia, and not through the hotel themselves. If this is true, it makes me wary to book through Expedia again.

Overall we enjoyed the hotel and would stay again. Unfortunately we were in a room that had an adjoining door, and the guests staying next to us were very loud and came in during early morning hours and slammed doors and talked loudly. The four elevators were also very slow with servicing the 40 floors. We had to wait quite a bit just to get to lobby.

Great Place

Motto may now be our go-to in NYC. It has a great staff and location. It’s clean and comfortable. We reserved a city-view room and it was well worth it. The room is a typical NYC size, but very well organized.

The hotel itself seems lovely but our room was only cleaned once our whole stay. Everyday we had to request new towels, bins emptied and even toilet roll. You would think me flagging this once would make them be proactive and ensure the room was definitely cleaned the next day - not the case at all. The staff seem to be very reactive to issues here they could easily prevent. For over £100 per night you would expect the basic room clean. You are also paying around £30 per day resort fee which includes 2 bottles of water per day - you only get these if your room gets serviced! Big scam!!
