Even though the property was in a convenient area, I do not recommend this hotel no matter the price if you are looking for a good experience. The property are outdated and the staff are terrible. How am I not been able to check out if I don’t return all the keycard? First, a male staff required me to back to the room and find the 2nd keycard. When I brought it down, a female staff questioned me that it was 3 keycards instead of 2. I responded to her twice that it was only 2 keycards given. Absurd experience.

Great location in Ginza, close to stations and plenty of restaurants. Don’t arrive early and expect to be checked in as they strictly enforce the 3pm check in time. The lobby was packed the day we arrived and even though it was pouring rain we were asked to come back at 3pm.(this was at 2.15pm), at least they had plenty of umbrellas to use. Staff were very friendly and polite however you would think some flexibility could have been applied. Apart from that it is a very good place to stay.

Very convenient to many things and places in Ginza. My only issue is the slow elevator especially when there are lots of people waiting. Otherwise it's a wonderful place to stay.

We enjoyed our stay at Hotel Monterey Ginza! The staff was friendly and welcoming, and there were plenty of complimentary toiletries available. Our room was on the smaller side (typical in Japan), but we still had enough room for our suitcases, and the bathroom was a good size as well. The room decor and furnishings were older, but overall comfortable. Great location too. We appreciated the quieter Ginza area and walkability to both the Ginza and Tokyo stations.
