Pass on Godzilla

I would not recommend this hotel and surprised it ranks so high in Hitels.com. First off, their ‘close up’ view of the Godzilla head is not so close up at all. There was a terrace that was close but has been closed for a few years since someone jumped off. Second, I have never seen a hotel that tries to nickel and dime you like this. The beds are rock hard and pillows awful. There is a flyer in the room telling you how important a good night slept is and that starts with good pillows. They will ‘rent’ you comfortable pillows. They will also ‘rent’ you a lamp if your room is too dark. This was our 5th hotel in Japan. All were supposedly ‘lower’ quality than the Gracery. They all offered far more amenities and comfort than the Gracery. Come on - who charges to use an iron! If I had seen This ‘rental’ list before I booked, I would not have booked!
Let’s give you terrible pillows, but offer to rent you others!

Convenient to transportation, nice views, surprisingly quiet given the neighborhood. Appreciate the laundry facility, although the dryer lint screens could stand to be emptied.
