Enjoyable stay

We enjoyed our stay at the Grandbell. Our room was small but comfortable with updated bathroom. The staff are friendly and helpful. We had breakfast included I kit stay and is worth the little bit extra. The location is 5-10 minute walk to the subway station and lively streets of Shinjuku.

There were 2 of us and we loved our stay. It was the first day of our Japan trip so we were severely jet lagged and yet the staff was amazing. Not only was our room ready to check in at 10 am (thank you SO much for that!!), but we also thoroughly enjoyed our stay: the location, the rooftop, the hotel, we loved it all. And would go back in a heartbeat. In fact, I’m recommending the hotel to my friends heading to Japan. The rooms aren’t big (that’s Tokyo for you) but it doesn’t matter. I slept like a baby, no interruptions, no noise at all and the staff was really kind. Will definitely go back whenever I go back to Japan

Good hotel to stay in Shinjuku

Well located in Shinjuku 8-15 min from multiple train stations Compact but nice rooms with good toiletries and amenities. Beds and pillows are a little hard Great service and staff mostly speak English which was a plus

Front desk staff and chambermaids were superlative. The suite was a great use of space. The regular rooms seemed cramped like the bottom of a cruiseship. The front desk was especially helpful with umbrellas and getting taxis to get around. The location was a short walk to the subway to travel to local neighborhoods (Ginza,Shibuya Tower, Tokyo Station, temples and shrines). Breakfast buffet and rooftop bar was available.

Location is good, short walk to Shinjuku area but also need to walk through all the sketchy Nigerians and ‘girl bars’. Fire alarm went off twice at 2am in the morning - it wasn’t their fault but someone definitely tried smoking in the room. Wish the room was more spacious but that’s Tokyo for ya!

Incredible hotel. Staff very friendly and speak English very well making it easy for tourists. Very close proximity to lots of bars, restaurants, and clubs, making walking around, especially after last train, very easy.

Friendly and helpful staff! Room is small but standard for the price in the heart of Shinjuku. Great location with tons of dining options, and with Shinjuku station about 10 mins away you have access to many subway lines, and it is also the starting point JR's special train to Mt. Fuji. A big plus is the excellent breakfast provided by the hotel with wide selection of typical western and traditional Japanese food items at a very reasonable price. Would definately stay there when back to Tokyo.

The location is convenient to walk to the main attraction, but if you travel alone, I recommend staying at a safer location. Just when I checked out the hotel, I saw four police in front of the hotel and there were a woman who had a big bump on her forehead. It’s 9:30am in the morning and she just got attacked by someone else.
