Overall it was a great stay here. While it was the most expensive hotel I've ever stayed in, and somewhat dated, it was incredibly clean and comfortable. The location can't be beat for families comfortable with the busyness of Shibuya. We loved the area and how convenient it was to get to other parts of Tokyo. Seeing the scramble from the hotel every time we used the lift was a highlight, and having a washer/dryer on our floor was a massive plus when travelling with kids. Reception staff were great and perfect English.

I stayed at the Shibuya Excel Hotel Tokyu recently and it was really nice. The rooms were spacious and absolutely clean. The location is excellent, everything is walkable (restaurants, shopping, transit) and the hotel is convenient in so many ways. Considering all of that, for the price it really was worth it.
