No, just no. This is not a proclaimed "4 star" hotel. They've got a front going on with the lobby. Upon entering, stains all over on the floor, old furniture, outdated fridge and facilities of the bathroom. It felt like a joke. I ask to change rooms. I'm given the new keycard to the room parallel to the previous one and what do you know, same terrible quality. If it was just an old room, fine. Then over the course of the two nights I was there I began to notice the uncleanliness of it all. Dust EVERYWHERE. On the desk, napkin holder, hairdryer, vent, on the SHEETS. Black stuff in the corners of the mirror; black specks on the shower curtain; coffee stains above and behind the trashcan. The soap left a weird residue in the bath. To top it off, guess what was visibly dirty? The BIDET. I've seen park toilets and stations with cleaner bidets in Japan. Mind you, we're in GINZA, paying a lot, and the guest has to inspect if the room is clean or not? On the day of leaving, I say I was unsatisfied with my stay. I tell them why, show them the pictures. The front desk says they can't do anything about it. He calls out his manager. It's spoken about in Japanese with the pictures. They claim nothing can be done about it. There was no shock on their faces, no signs remorse. I explained how it's literally a hygienic problem with the hotel, how there was clearly no attention put into ensuring the room was thoroughly clean. They didn't care. An apology with a bow is baffling.
