Friendly staff and a lovely breakfast.
However, a temperamental shower, lack of response to pre-visit messages and room not adequately serviced let the hotel down
A little taste of tranquility in the heart of manc
The customer service was excellent. The hotel itself is lovely. The room was really beautiful and comfortable the only small issue we had was temperature control (the thermostat was a bit fiddly) and the water coming through the pipes from other rooms could be noisy at times but aside from that which wasn’t a major thing was fantastic. Breakfast was really good. The lifts however were not the best. One was out of order and the other was small so there were queues building up and they took a long time to arrive. Overall I would recommend this hotel as the suites are very luxurious. Comfy bed A+
The stay was good. Staff were polite and helpful at check in, although they take and hold £50 during your stay which they release when you check out. It's not a problem but did take a few days to land back in my account and felt unnecessary.
The downstairs area of the hotel is impeccable. It looks amazing and felt like a luxury hotel. The room however felt lacking. There were a lot of stains on the walls and it looked tired.
The room was spacious with a large bathroom but in comparison to the foyer and bar/restaurant it did not meet the same standard by any means. I wouldnt write off coming here again but would most likely look elsewhere before rushing back.
My work organised for a voucher and a bottle of champagne to be put in my room. The champagne was put in my room but the £75 voucher was never put there. They never told me who the wine was from - I just assumed it came with my room.
The cleaners also came into change our bed and smashed a mug, there was shards of glass next to the bed. I felt like I needed to go down and tell reception in case they thought it was me and charged me card. Reception knew nothing about it and had to get someone to change over the room again, with new mugs and removing the glass.
My stay here over exceeded my expectations! Greeted by the wonderful Harmony, she made sure my stay was warm and that I was welcomed from the moment I walked through the doors until the moment I checked out. With friendly conversation and overall professionalism Harmony really took my stay to a 10 out of 10! As for the hotel and room just wow! Comfortable and aesthetically pleasing! Also I cannot stress how much of a difference it makes when there is a bath tub in the room :)
Only issue I had was with contacting the front desk, the information given in the room did not work and I did have to google the main number and call through that but once I got through I was attended to immediately so it didn’t make any difference to how wonderful my stay was! Thank you :)
