Unfortunately I am a bit disappointed with this stay. We stayed for one night for my birthday.
Room:
A birthday cake was left on the table which was a nice touch. However, very noticeably, the bed headboard was peeling badly and one big flap was half off. The side tables were so dusty The bathroom door was mouldy/water damaged. The king bed was comfortable. The sofa was laid out into a sofa bed and made up- not what we wanted, but it was a minor inconvenience for one nights stay. The room was right next to the trainline, which again is a minor inconvenience for one nights stay, but you could hear the trains, even when the blackout blinds were down, so not good for light sleepers. I did request to change rooms by phoning down to reception but was informed that I’d have to come downstairs to make that request. As I was short on time, I didn’t bother.
Food:
We came back to the hotel late (around 11pm) and was a bit hungry, so decided to order from the night menu- however when we scanned the app, the web page was blank, so I rang catering to be told that there is no room service available currently which again was disappointing as was not informed of this at check-in. We ended up ordering food via uber eats.
Spa:
I was informed at check-in that you can book your swimming slot by scanning a QR code. The silicone at the sides of the swimming pool were peeled off and flapping in the pool. Area around the pool did not look so clean.
Wouldn’t stay at this Park Plaza again.
