I intentionally chose a hotel in walking distance to much of what we needed, and a hotel with air conditioning. When we arrived, the room was 23 degrees - way too hot for us. We waited for someone from maintenance to come and he said he fixed it. We left the room and came back 6 hours later and it was still 23 degrees. Called maintenance again and he said he fixed it. Thankfully it wasn't mid-summer and stifling outside. It took 24 hours before our room was 19 degrees, the lowest possible setting. In general, AC aside, the room is dated. Bathroom and shower were good and clean. For a Superior Queen room, it was still pretty tight. Not great value for money but I'm thinking that's just London. Staff was helpful when we had to speak to them. We didn't use the restaurant or any facilities. Location was great. Easy access to multiple tube lines and Embankment pier. Walking distance to theatres, Covent Garden, Trafalgar Square, Picadilly Circus, and many other spots.
