Elevators very slow, most staff seemed uninterested. Mohamed the porter was very nice and helpful. Rooms are very small and ark, the window shutters do not open all the way for street view leaving a small stream of light that we couldn’t see straight out of due to ledge. This left the room feeling claustrophobic. we had a superior king room for perspective. Getting ready was a challenge with bathrooms very small and no counter space. While location was good I would not stay there again as this set up was not what we liked.

Very, very disappointing

I stayed in the Strand Palace hotel many many times because I always think that they offer better value for money than most West End London hotels. This time I stayed for 2 days and booked an expensive Deluxe Studio King. First of all the room, 179, was incredibly dark and secondly the very small internal window looked on to an inner air vent which was dirty, filled with rubbish and disused bricks. For the amount of money which i paid, booked through Hotels.com, I am seriously disappointed and upset. I would like to hear back from management and the hotel and will really hesitate before booking again.

Excellent stay. This was our second visit to this property, and we will definitely return. The Strand reservations agent, Tony, was fabulous helping us correct our reservation and solving the issues - he is an excellent ambassador for this hotel.

Two outstanding members of your staff were so helpful and friendly. Mohammed was wonderful in answering all our many questions and baggage concerns. Richard at the front door was more than a perfect gentleman, he was knowledgeable about Walkable areas for those of us that needed help. 5 stars for your excellent staff!

My son and I stayed for 1 night as a he was invited to attend the Buckingham Palace Garden Party. The hotel is situated close to a few tube stations but also central enough to walk to places like Westminster, Big Ben, Houses of Parliament, London Eye, Covent Garden, China Town, Leicester Square and Buckingham Palace (and many more). We arrived at the hotel to be greeted by a lovely gentleman who was polite and gave a warm welcome. We arrived a little early to ask if they could store our bags till check-in, and they told us our room was ready so we were welcome to take our bags straight up. The room was clean and a lovely cool temperature. We had a bottle of water each, a coffee machine with pods and a lovely bar of hotel chocolate. Our beds were really comfy and there were plenty of plugs and usb's. The room has a small wardrobe and even an iron/ironing board should this be needed. The bathroom was clean and fresh with soap, hand cream, shampoo and the shower was nice and powerful. Even though we were on the 1st floor facing the road we had a quite nights sleep, and the wooden shutters kept the room dark We had a lovely breakfast and didn't have to wait long to be seated. There was a great choice of fruit, pastries, drinks, cereals and hot buffet breakfast all of good quality. On checking out Mohammed offered to store our bags till we were travelling home later that evening. Great friendly staff all around and a lovely experience for my son and I.

Strand Palace is a large and busy hotel with excellent staff and a perfect location for Covent Garden. It lacks some higher end amenities but does a very good job of covering the basics.
