The hotel appears to be new. At least it was very smart inside. Check-in was at a machine; all done in two minutes with help from an efficient staff member. Room was large and well appointed. Great bar and easy dinner menu. All staff were excellent; helpful and welcoming. Delighted to learn that there is an Avis rental pick-up and drop-off in the hotel and outside. Definitely my choice if using Terminals 2 and 3. Perhaps 5, but not so sure.

Fit for purpose

Stayed for one night before flying from Heathrow which is what I suspect most travellers use this hotel for. The room was clean and comfortable enough although the beds were very narrow and far too soft for our preference. We had a pleasant enough evening meal in the restaurant, the staff were friendly but it was very overpriced. There are lots of Heathrow-adjacent hotels and we chose this hotel based on the breakfast reviews as we wanted a decent meal before travelling. We were therefore disappointed for various reasons. Firstly, breakfast was advertised as seating until 10am, we went to sit at 9.55 and staff were clearly irritated by this. What we had was nice enough but we didn't get to enjoy pancakes or waffles and were rushed throughout as they tidied up around us. It's a buffet breakfast so lots would have been thrown away as the doors were swiftly shut by about 10 past so any of us choosing a later sitting were denied a second plate. Realistically, they don't actually serve you properly until 10 so go before half 9 if you can or better still, pay less and eat at one of the airport eateries as you pay extra for this 'privilege'

Meh…

My family of three arrived at this hotel late at night after a long day of travel. We were tired and were looking forward to getting some sleep. The gentleman at the desk who checked us in would not stop asking us questions. They weren’t necessary to our check in, they were about our vacation, where we were headed, what we were going to do etc. It was a nuisance. When I wasn’t as lively as he wanted me to be with my answers to his rapid fire questions, he said “You all look like you need some sleep, you look tired” but that didn’t stop him from asking more questions, and upselling their breakfast etc. It left all of us feeling annoyed. Instead of a quick welcome and check in. Also, never tell a woman she looks tired, that is very rude. The room was small but decorated well. The beds were hard, but the room was quiet. The breakfast buffet was ok. One of the servers kept bothering my son to fill out a Google review about how good this place was. It was too much, she came on too strong and would not stop. Again, it was a nuisance.

Handy location to LHR airport. Rooms are a little worn as expected being an airport hotel, but clean. Handy shuttle bus can pick you up from the front door (regular timings) which is great.
