The bed was practically a board, so prepare if you normally sleep on softer beds. After waiting for 3 hours for check-in because "housekeeping has not released the room yet" I walk into the bathroom to take a shower and notice there is a sign on the wall to put down the anti-slip mat for safety. I look at the mat, and see there is black mold all over the bottom of the mat. Hopefully this was a rare occurance, but double check your mat to be safe.

Hotel Kensington turned out to be a good choice

We were pleased with the hotel in general. The staff was very friendly, the buffet breakfast was extensive and very good, the concierge was very helpful in helping us book show in Piccadilly circus, it was just a short walk to bus stops and the tube. The room was small, but we were happy to have a king size comfortable bed so that made up for the size of the room. The hotel is in a convenient location and there are some nice restaurants to have dinner within a comfortable walking distance. There is a nice bar too, though we never had a chance to go to it. All in all, it was a good experience and a comfortable hotel, and I would recommend.

Lovely London location

Great check-in experience, the hotel is a few mins from a tube and a great high street. Cafes, restaurants, shops and walking distance to nice parks. We loved being able to have a morning swim.

Perfect location, poor room.

Check-in was excellent, and we enjoyed a lovely lunch in the garden. However, the room was disappointing—cramped space, poor amenities, and no drinking water provided. Accessing the wardrobe was a struggle. During a fire evacuation, there was no staff guidance, and with lights off, many guests were left disoriented and unsure where to go. Which felt unsafe.

I stayed at this hotel 3 years ago and returned because of the high standard of attention given to guests. The staff was very accommodating and friendly. Our room was very clean and comfortable. The garden was a lovely quiet place where you could wind down with a drink or food after a busy day.

Though I had a prepaid room, I arrived at 3 am to find that the hotel had sold my room to someone else!! Shocking! I decided to walk out of the hotel at 3:40 am and start looking for another hotel. A bit of a nightmare!
