I was worried about how easy the access would be from the airport. I flew into terminal 5. It was simple to take the train to terminal 4 and walk through the tunnel to the hotel. I did the same for my departure.

We arrived to the hotel via the free ride from terminal 5 which took us forever, we had to do 3 connections to get there and took almost an hour. When we finally arrived check in had their system down they could not make out room keys work. Ordered in room service and you had to go downstairs to pick it up. Food was overpriced and very poor quality. We had to again have someone open the elevator for us and the rooms because of course room keys still did not work. Free WiFi would have been nice, but again… system down. It did not work either.

This hotel is fantastic! Very clean spacious rooms. Comfortable beds nice big walk in shower. Being right at the airport terminal is a bonus. No shuttle required in the morning to catch your flight. The underground to get you into London and the bus station is in walking distance and very easy to access and figure out. The breakfast you get is the best I have ever had at a Holiday Inn Express. North American holiday Inn Express should all have this much selection. So many hot and cold food choices. Gilbert and his team do a fantastic job looking after guests. Way to go Gilbert! The fish and chips in the sister hotel restaurant are amazing. I would recommend trying them! Overall I would stay here again next time I am in the UK and recommend this hotel to all Canadians and Americans travelling to the UK.

I did not stay at the property. I booked the incorrect date by accident and was not allowed to change dates or cancel. So I am annoyed I had to pay for a property I did not use. In no way was the hotel responsible, aside from the fact that they would not allow any changes. An expensive mistake easily corrected, but not.

Clean, quiet, convenient, it was great especially for an overnight on connecting flights. Included continental breakfast was honestly excellent, lots of options and good quality food (better than I'm used to in my experience at North American hotels) with a good variety. Restaurant/bar downstairs was really tasty and good prices, room was nice and big with every convenience we expected and some we didn't (easy pairing to the smart TV was a nice touch to let us watch a show from our phones as we ate). Interior rooms have windows opening into the inside of the hotel which is nice, and I liked the design of the interior especially how it was lighted in the evening/night. Connected to Heathrow Terminal 4 by a bridge so you can walk there in about 10-15 minutes without needing to go outside. Pretty great overall.
