When we checked in, we noticed that all three soap dispensers (shower, bath, and sink) were empty, which was a little disappointing for a hotel of this level (not something we would expect outside of a budget chain). I contacted reception, and although two staff members came at different times to replace them, this was the main issue we experienced during our stay.
The second challenge was the internet connection on Thursday night after we returned from a concert at Wembley, it was extremely slow, to the point where we couldn’t even place a Deliveroo order. I again contacted reception, and while an engineer was sent to assist, the connection resolved itself by the time he arrived.
That said, our stay was not without positives. I’m a tea drinker, and when I requested extra tea, it was delivered very quickly. Similarly, after returning from a West End show on Friday, my daughter asked for some biscuits, and the hotel promptly brought up a generous variety of different flavors, which was a lovely touch.
Overall, our experience was fine, and the staff were consistently helpful and responsive. The only real disappointment was the empty soap dispensers at check-in, but otherwise, the service made a good impression.
