Check in seemed to take a long time and the receptionist kept disappearing just leaving us standing there with no communication. When we eventually got to the room, it was fabulous! Apart from the strange check in, all the staff we dealt with, and everything else was really good! Great location for using as a base too!!

We didn’t like it because the rooms are incredibly small, dark and old. We didn’t have natural light because our window was facing a brick walk. No windows open . Bed too small for 2 persons. Bathroom floor , uneven. Pipes make terrible knocking noises when you showered. Staff outside the room makes a lot of noise when they cleaned the halls, other rooms. Wouldn’t return.

Best location in London

This is the best location imaginable. After a long day of walking around London, it is incredible to step out of the Gloucester Road tube and walk just a few yards to the hotel. The lobby is small, but cheerful and pleasant.

Unexpectedly upgraded to a suite, which was lovely. Stayed at Baileys multiple times over the past few years, a lovely, comfy, traditional London hotel with out the ostentatious bling. Friendly and helpful staff, stones throw from good transportation for London exploration. The only slight negative, no bedside clock, so had to check my phone or Ipad for time in the wee small hours.

The room was very small making it difficult for 2 people to easily move around. The shower is the smallest I’ve been in. However, the location of the hotel is excellent as the South Kensington area is so safe. Walked to the museums and lots of good restaurants in the area.

Smashed Glass

Everything was fine about the hotel, great location for us, good value for London and all pleasant until the final day. We’d been out for the day and came home around 7pm. In the bathroom we found one of the glasses missing and broken glass left in our bathroom. We had our 5 year old son with us who could’ve picked any of this up. I instantly raised this issue with reception and one of the housekeeping team came up. We heard nothing back from this, next morning I raised this issue again with reception who had no record of the complaint so I raised the issue again. Again I’ve heard nothing from hotel. What an appalling attitude to guests. I assume the hotel don’t care that housekeeping are smashing glasses and leaving broken glass around the bathroom for anyone to pick up/stand on. I even found some in my wash bag. I’ve never had experienced this in my lifetime. Good job my son didn’t have an accident not that this hotel would have cared less.

This was a perfect Hotel for our last night in London, then off to Heathrow Airport early the following morning. The staff were very attentive and helpful. We would definitely stay again.
