Great stay - excellent hotel!

We had a fantastic stay at the Kimpton – easily my favourite hotel in Manchester. The building is stunning and beautifully restored, with a great central location. Staff were exceptionally friendly and attentive throughout. Our room, tucked away on its own subfloor, was stylish, comfortable, and thoughtfully set up for a relaxing stay – from quality tea and coffee options to fresh milk in the fridge and bath salts in the bathroom. The complimentary wine and beer hour between 5–6pm was a classy touch, and we really appreciated the generous midday checkout and bottled water for the road. A brilliant experience from start to finish.

Fascinating "eclectic Gothic" building--unique in our experience--in a great location to walk central Manchester. Close to theatres, art museums and the central library. Roomy room. Sad our schedule didn't allow us to avail of free drinks, 5-6pm daily. Dining a bit too noisy for us, with music all evening till 11pm.

Second visit to Kimpton Clocktower.

Second visit to this hotel-again for a special occasion. Room not as big as the room we had on our last visit and no bath just a shower but still very nice. No birthday cocktails in the fridge this time either despite being a ‘special’ birthday. But still our favourite hotel in Manchester due to location and charm. Breakfast was nice but would like to see more of a variety of pastries/sweet treats at breakfast for £22pp.

The check in process was quite slow however this was due to the hotel being fully booked. When walking into the room and putting the keycard in for the electrics to work the whole panel came off the wall.. which maintenance fixed very quickly once going to reception as our phone did also not work within the hotel. Our room also did not have a tv remote so at 9:15pm we had to request my mother (staying in another room) to call the reception to request one as our phone was not working. Lovely hotel but we encountered quite a few problems for a one night stay.

Booked this for my husband’s 55th birthday and they were very accommodating. Premises were clean software exceptionally polite and accommodating. Only downside is that the rooms for families are caught for walk out especially for transporting luggage quite a few steps if you have a lot of luggage and children to manage Otherwise, we will definitely consider coming back
