The area and outside of hotel was great. The room itself was a little dated and very stuffy. There was an opening window and a fan provided. The car parking was dissapointing as I specifically booked the hotel as parking was includrd but when I got there it was 'first come first served' and there were no spaces so we had the stress and cost of finding some parking close by.

A good location with excellent views...

I was going to give 'average' but due to the poached eggs and breakfast in general I changed my verdict to 'good' I like the character of the place and it was an excellent base for my visit. Others have commented about the lack of air-conditioning and small bathrooms. I had to change rooms due to an issue with plumbing and this was swiftly dealt with. I also requested some herbal teas that arrived quickly. The hotel is Georgian so, of course, there will be compromises. I would recommend rooms at the front as they remain cooler. The location is excellent and although my rooms were small, they were suitable for my needs, were clean and had bath products.

Food was good, internet was always failing, no ceiling fan as stated on the website, the only have a small table fan. Unfortunately I visited London on one of the warmest days in July so the small fan wasn’t enough to manage the heat wave. No mini fridge in the room so after hour when the bar is closed you have no option for ice if you need one. And another thing in find awkward was not having ironing board and iron in the room, you need to ask at the reception so that wasn’t very convenient. Overall it was a good place to stay due to its location and the open park across the property was beautiful

The bedroom size was great but the decor out-dated. The tiny bathroom had been renovated but the fixtures and fittings were of poor quality and the shower only produced cool or boiling hot water, so not useable. It was too hot but there was a fan provided which made sleeping possible, if not comfortable.

Check in and restaurant staff very polite, helpful and friendly. Very little parking, and if an event on in the hotel at the same time, none at all. Our room was satisfactory, but like most of the interior could do with a refresh/refurb, and the bathroom was tiny ! Being at the front of the property, good views across Blackheath, but a little noisy with traffic noise. Excellent location to walk into Greenwich Park, and to the Royal Observatory, the Maritime Museum, the Naval College, and Cutty Sark.

I’d stayed here before. This time it was for the athletics in Stratford. As usual, I was shown to a table for breakfast. All the staff were very polite and they put out a tray with glasses and two jugs of water onto a table, as one of the days was very hot. The SL4 bus goes past the hotel to Canary Wharf. So, I was able to get it, though the TfL (Transport for London) had closed the DLR line to Stratford which made it a bit awkward for me.

Happy to have stayed here.

My family and I used two rooms. The three nights we stayed here were wonderful. The breakfast was terrific. So good. So many choices. Everyone in my group could find things to their liking and it was served in a beautiful room. The beds were comfortable. The window opened really wide which was helpful since when we were there it was very hot. Each room had a fan that really worked well. Bathrooms were on the smaller side but were more than adequate and were very clean and updated. The staff were very helpful and when I needed a clothes washer/drier late in the evening they were very accommodating about helping me. I am very glad we stayed here as part of our travels in England.
