Didn't feel very welcomed upon arrival (no smile) and felt like the person (who I later heard talking to another customer informing them she was the General Manager!) who assisted me at check-in really didn't want to help. Such a shame as otherwise the hotel is great - everything for my needs - hence returning to sty again.

Absolutely beautiful spot in the centre of York. Very impressed with this hotel for the money. Great service and hotel is well maintained. Breakfast was very nice. Only negative is that the parking lot is limited and very tight especially for larger cars.

The room was spotless and the location convenient to walk into the city centre with lovely views (even though our side of the building didn't have a river view). The tv was temperamental (kept turning off) but the hotel felt secure. Parking was available, though tricky navigating the pillars, and cost £20 per night. I would stay again if good deals available.

Okay place

No communication from hotels.com with the hotel so wrong room type given and no early check in even though it had been requested as i knew i would be driving 5 hours to it. Reception staff rude and couldnt be bothered on check in. And rooms are small with a long walk to some.
