A warm welcome with a complimentary Prosecco on arrival set a great first impression, and every member of staff I interacted with was polite, friendly, and genuinely helpful. The location is excellent, especially being so close to the station. I did experience a few issues during the stay. Breakfast was scheduled for 8:00am, but after waiting from 07:45 to 08:30 I eventually had to get in the shower. The breakfast itself was continental, which hadn’t been disclosed before booking, and it was left outside the room on the floor, uncovered, with juice and milk exposed. The bathroom also had a practical issue: the shower screen had roughly a 1cm gap between the bath and the glass, which made showering awkward as I was trying to avoid flooding the floor. One of the hand towels had a long hair on it, though this didn’t bother me as there was a spare and these things can happen. Overall, it’s a nice hotel with genuinely friendly staff and a great location. They just need to address a few operational details. I would stay again, provided these issues are resolved.

Nice enough, clean, pleasant staff. Easy reach of the train station. Poor lighting. Automatic lights in the corridors which don’t always turn on, rooms are dark which makes it awkward when trying to locate switches and negotiating access to the rooms.

Lift didn’t work Room was tatty with stains and it was a continental breakfast made up behind curtains and delivered to your room . Asked for refund but didn’t get it . £12.60 for two still water and a cola when water should be free. For £300 a night .
