The only good thing about this property is the staff. From the reception desk to the cleaning crew, everyone was so incredibly kind and attentive to our needs. I asked for an apple at breakfast one day and one of the staff made sure I had one every day after. Literally unbelievably kind and attentive. Huge shoutout to all of them. Also, the proximity of the hotel to the train station is a huge pro.
Everything else about this property was lackluster at best. The property is super outdated and you can feel it. The cleaning crew definitely does their best but it just doesn’t *feel* clean because the property is so worn. Additionally, the continental breakfast buffet is easily one of the worst I’ve ever had. Rubbery eggs, extra salty bacon, and overly greasy food. We opted to just buy out several days because it just wasn’t edible. I go into any continental breakfast with pretty low expectations but after this experience, any future continental breakfast will be five star quality.
If you’re stopping through for a night or two on the way to a cruise, this is a great choice. But I wouldn’t do a long term stay here again.
