Hotel and staff were lovely. The place was clean and tidy. The restaurant was nice, but limited menu and not same as on website. (So I was disappointed as sadly I’d chosen my food already. My main issue was how cold it was. It affected my sleep massively. I turned the radiator up, checked the Dyson machine but was just a fan and there was no air con remote. Unfortunately my husband was asleep so couldn’t call maintenance or room service. But had barely any sleep and this was wearing pjs, socks and a cardigan! It ruined the experience and the joy of the massive bed! The reception guy didn’t ask anything and there was a queue so didn’t bring it up but would like compensating.

Let down

Not sure where to start with this one, rarely write these types of reviews but feeling let down with the stay here. Check-in - not friendly at all. Told us our room number, go onto the 5th floor (suites) and no room numbers on doors (all named). Had to try room key on every door until we found the right one. Room felt dated, no remotes for the aircon, absolutely filthy toilet brush. For £300 can’t say I was amused. I advised in advance was here for a birthday celebration, no acknowledgement or anything. Virtually every staff member we interacted with was not very friendly at all, made you feel like you were an inconvenience. Got back to the hotel at 10:50pm with friends (also staying at the hotel) wanting to have a drink in the bar, was told it was closed. Asked if we could order drinks to the room, we were told no. What?! We walked across the road to the Malmaison whose bar was full. Breakfast - service slow, again not very friendly at all. Quality of food - average. Everytime we walked passed reception, no acknowledgement or interaction. Have met friendlier bailiffs. In my opinion it was not worth the money at all and to be honest, there are better hotels across the city.

Overall, we had a pleasant stay. The service was excellent, and the breakfast was outstanding. The hotel’s location is ideal, offering easy access to both the city center and Piccadilly Station.

100% recommend

2 minutes walk from Piccadilly Train station. Very friendly reception. Lovely spacious comfortable room and bathroom. Shower lovely and warm. Let us store our cases upon checkout whilst we went shopping, then collected them swiftly from reception before heading to train station home. Would 100% recommend and will be our base for staying in Manchester for future visits.

The hotel is very central. The room was simple, a decent size, spotless and very light. The bed was really comfortable. Breakfast was amazing. All of the staff were pleasant and helpful. Discounted parking 100 yards away. Will definitely stay here next time in Manchester.

I’ve stayed here once before and loved it so much that we had to pay another visit. However it just didn’t feel the same as we could hear the bedrooms next to ours and out into the corridor very clearly which was slightly off putting, e.g. clicking of plugs, mumbled talking and running shower water as if it was our shower running. Overall our stay was great and such a comfy bed, it was just the sound that knocked the score.

Wonderful hotel more personal than the big chains.Love the fact that breakfast is cooked to order with full waiter service.The staff are all genuinely pleasant and attentive. This is our second stay here it won't be the last.

Very pleasant stay

Great hotel in the heart of Manchester. Rooms very spacious with comfortable beds. Only slight downside was that there was only one small lift that was quite slow, meaning a bit of waiting at check out times if on one of the higher floors.
