Staff on reception were not the friendliest arrived a hour early told unless we paid fee we had to wait till 3pm to check in. The room was ready just a money making thing to do. So had lunch in the bar the gentleman at bar was friendly. Been to Jury’s hotel in Belfast they could do enough for you there.

Hotel was nice and clean. We were given the room at level one with a bathtub and everything was pleasant. The only qualm will be the absence of a movable shower head as showering kids became quite a hassle. We paid £18 each for breakfast and it was a nice spread of hash brown, bacon, eggs, fruits and beverages. The weather was pleasant in Oxford and we had a great stay.

Once we entered the room it was extremely hot and smelt like a old drain. The main air con was not functional and the staff clearly knew this as there was a little plug in unit.unfortunately this couldn't be set to anything other than what it was on and was extremely noisy. We opened the windows and headed for something to eat thinking that would disappear and cool the room. When we returned the room was still hot and smelly so we called reception to be told there we no rooms and a duty manager would ge along as soon as possible. About an hour and a half went by and my wife decided to have a bath only to find there was no plug so after another call to reception we were told if there wasn't one we couldn't use it. The duty manager also never arrived. We arrived around 20.00 We tried to make the best of a bad situation as there were no other rooms. Unfortunately we couldn't get any sleep with the noise of the air-con and if we turned it off we were extremely hot. I asked for a refund as we left at 6am as we just couldn’t sleep and was told the manager would be in touch. We will see…

Non-descript location, on the edge of town. good for business or just a pass-thru situation. Not so great for visiting Oxford. Very limited dining options. Just an overpriced restaurant (if you're lucky to find it open). Breakfast saves the day, as it is the typical Leonardo fare, same good things you get at any of their properties.
