Bed was ridiculously comfy and on the bigger side which was perfect after a long drive. Staff were friendly and helpful with parking. Would definitely stay again.

Room was great. Nice and big with huge bed. Could not fault it. The bar on the other hand was dreadful. Took 15 mins to make the worse mojito ever had. Got this replaced with a g&t which was served in a chipped glass. Glasses and plates were left uncleared on half a dozen tables and we needed to ask for a cloth to wipe the one we were at. Would stay again but will avoid the bar.

Lovely stay

Lovely stay, very nice clean room. Staff at the front desk are very helpful. Nice bar for early drinks. Very conveniently located for train and trams and the Northern Quarter. Good car park right nearby, City Park, the hotel discounts for you so a 24 hour stay is £13.

Last minute booking for event at ao arena. Quirky room but no air con nor would windows open on very hot day. Lovely receptionist organised a fan which was very welcome. Restaurant looked lovely but no opportunity to use it. Next time

Unacceptable room condition

Booked an enviable double which was incredibly spacious and well set up. However on an extremely hot weekend we could not get the air con in our room to work. When we mentioned this at check out they said it was broken for the entire building. Its unacceptable that an ongoing issue is not mentioned to guests in advance of staying. Nor on check in or even putting a note in the room. Air con is clearly listed as a room amenity. Even with knowing they have broken air con, there is no compensation. Not even free water in the room. One of the blinds could not be lowered. On closer examination the cord was removed from it and laying on the window ledge. This meant we had day light in our room as soon as it got light outside. House keeping had lowered all blinds in the room bar this one to block the sun out meaning they were fully aware of the issue but still allocated the room. The room should not have been used for any guests. Ridiculously hot and uncomfortable night sleep disrupted by early daylight pouring in. Reception invited a manager to speak to us on check out. They said they won't do anything but someone will be in touch. Allowing a guest to leave without rectifying the situation shows how little the hotel consider their guests as important.

Nice hotel room but restaurant terrible.

The hotel room was clean and comfortable. The service and food quality in the restaurant both for lunch and breakfast was awful. The state of the menu which was stained and dirty that we were eventually handed at our breakfast table sum up the poor standards. Would definitely not recommend.

The staff here are very helpful, however the rooms are extremely in need of renovation. Peeling wallpaper, uncomfortable beds, aircon not working etc. The electrics look like my gran’s house and she’s been dead 40 years. There are better hotels in the area for less money.

Cons:It was hot and there was no air conditioning and unable to open the windows. Pros: Omar at the front desk was extremely knowledgeable and helpful. We were very impressed.
