My stay at Holiday Inn Express Arena exceeded expectations. I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a relaxing, enjoyable, and hassle-free hotel experience. There should be a small refrigerator in the room.

Great location close to arena and shopping centre with plenty food and drink options nearby. Hotel pretty tired. In need of an upgrade. Matress not comfortable and only a double not a king. Air conditioning not working in the room and no windows open so very warm trying to get ready. Stains on carpets and mould in bathroom. Was fine for a short stay however probably wouldn’t return based on our experience.

No issue with any staff - all helpful and approachable. Reasonable night sleep. Comfy bed but room was so hot. Even turned down to 16 degrees and cold setting just didn’t make a difference. No windows to open. Bathroom appeared relatively new. Clean and had everything we needed. Great size shower! Breakfast was a let down. Had much better in other hotel chains. Kept warm (expected as buffet) which meant it was soggy by the time you got it. It wasn’t even hot. Should have stuck with continental pastries and cereal, but after a night out you want a full English. Coffee machine was disgusting!

Hardly worth the money

Great location but not the best experience. Not enough hooks. Very small minimal room. The pillows were hard. Two days of lukewarm showers. The shower pan would not drain fast enough so it filled up after only one very short shower. Told the front desk three times. We were compensated for our lukewarm stay…thank you. The carpets could use a very deep and repetitive shampooing or even replacement.

All the staff were just great, so pleasant and so helpful and friendly. We stayed here to go to the Arena and we also stayed in the Holiday Inn Express at Birmingham, and both hotels were immaculate and the staff were brilliant.

PEEP completed on arrival, evacuation plan explained, needs checked overall check in was a positive experience. Room was good size for chair and could get around easily. Bathroom was clean and good size space with good facilities.
