At check in the young pretty lady on reception was absolutely delightful, smiley and went above and beyond in my eyes. We told her that we were going to see The Lion King at the Lyceum. Not only did she explain how to get there and the length of time each stage would take she even printed all the information off for us! Being from West Wales, having no underground systems and a bus that comes only twice a day, that was invaluable! We were naive enough to think we could just book a cab at the hotel but she explained that during rush hour, traffic would be at a virtual standstill, something I hadn't even considered!
Our family room was spotless and the bed was probably the most comfortable bed I'd ever slept in! If I could have taken it home, I would!
There were all your basic needs there, shower gels, hand wash and loo rolls etc and plenty of tea, coffee, hot chocolate, milk and biscuits..Being 4 of us, more milk was needed which was quickly and courteously supplied. My ONLY criticism was that although there were usb wall sockets and plenty of plug sockets on the 'kettle side' of the room, there were no sockets available next to the beds. Meaning my grandkids couldn't play on their phones and have them charging whilst lying in bed! I know..... poor things right?!!
Staff were extremely polite, helpful and had smiles on their faces which means so much to me and the cleanliness was excellent in the breakfast area. There was a superb range of breakfast foods available too. 10/10!
