The Stamford Bridge Hotel is in a fantastic location, just a short walk from Fulham Broadway tube station. The surrounding area has plenty of restaurants, making dining out convenient, and it feels safe even at night. However, while the location was great, the overall hotel experience was disappointing due to a lack of amenities, cleanliness issues, and poor service.
Our room was not well-maintained—dusting had not been done, the floors were visibly dirty, and the teacups still had residue from previous guests. Corners of the room were dusty, and the remote control and telephone dial pads had accumulated dust. Housekeeping, though friendly, failed to restock essentials like coffee, tea, and tissues unless specifically requested. Although towels were plentiful, our initial room had no hot water, requiring a move to another room, which unfortunately had the same cleanliness issues.
One bright spot was the duty manager, Bumi, who was exceptionally kind and attentive when she noticed our room was not up to standard. Her professionalism was greatly appreciated.
The restaurant experience, however, was frustrating. The room lacked a fridge, and there was no menu available for room service breakfast. When we ordered a continental breakfast, we received untoasted sliced bread, three small pastries, butter, jam, honey, two short baguette slices, and cheese—but no beverages, yogurt, cereal, or oatmeal options.
