Friendly staff Comfortable room The reason I didn’t rate a 5 was the cooked breakfast was lukewarm. However, the variety of breakfast items and presentation was great.

Staff! Especially lovely lad having a baby on the 6th of Dec at reception. When I checked in, he helped his colleague and suggested a quieter room for me as he knew I had a small child. I really appreciate him! Give that man a promotion! He anticipated my needs and changed my room without me even having to say anything!

The room was very comfortable and very clean. The hotel bar is lovely and had a quiet, relaxed ambience when we stayed - on a Sunday evening. On arrival at the hotel, mid afternoon on Sunday, the lobby and ground floor area was hopping as there was a band playing. We thought we were in for a noisy night but it was actually calm and quiet once the band finished playing and some of the crowd left. There were teabags and coffee capsules in our room but unfortunately no milk so we didn’t make either tea or coffee. Also the water jug was empty with a note to go down to the lobby to fill it up. We found that a bit strange

Room was ok but the MAJOR disappointment was I booked up to 3 weeks ago for my wifes 60th birthday. We just about got a Happy Birthday from one of the front desk staff apart from that a BIG NOTHING. No card from staff wishing Happy Birthday no bottle in the room NOTHING. EXTREMELY DISAPPOINTING considering the occasion. Have stayed here several times prior for occasions which were acknowleged but this being my wifes BIG BIRTHDAY and it wasnt even mentioned may make that our last visit. And please dont come back with the "pre prepared carefully worded statement" as too little too late. Like sticking your hand out for a bus after its gone past. Yours ONE VERY VERY DISAPPOINTED CUSTOMER.

The Gantry is easily the best London hotel we have stayed at. We loved its mix of both style and comfort - rarely do you find both in a hotel. The quality of the bedding, towels (so soft!) and breakfast was great, and we had a really good night’s sleep. Our welcome was warm and genuine, and all the staff we encountered were lovely.

Check-in was crap. The guy on the desk clearly couldn’t care less. We’ve stayed before and liked it, which is why we returned. The room is fine although the wardrobe light was on all night as the door doesn’t close fully and as such means the sensor doesn’t turn the light off. Otherwise, no big issues. Although it’s a shame there’s no bottles of water provided in the room. By the time we got in late last night, showered and got ready for bed, I noticed the empty bottle with instructions to go elsewhere to fill it. I didn’t fancy walking the hotel in my bedclothes!
