Very good

The suite was great, parking booked but when I got there it was not booked, as a person with a disability
, getting parking at the hotel is paramount nice meal from the bar.
No hot water in the sink so had a cold wash in the morning. Breakfast was nice.
The front of desk were. Nice but seemed not to cope with to many people.
Which ment you would wait ages to get booked in.

Liked: Cleanliness, staff & service, amenities
Safe and convenient for walking around Harrogate. Excellent service from staff especially after first evening meal when service was a little substandard. It improved immensely after a comment made for the following evening. We will return soon for another break.
We were placed in what can only be described as a broom cupboard, one side of the double bed was up against the wall and the wardrobe was blocking the window, therefore there was very little light in the room. The hotel is VERY dated which in itself isn’t a problem but combined with the above mentioned made for a miserable stay, luckily the location is great so we were able to spend most of our time out of the room, would not stay again which is a shame as the building and location are good.
We had a one night stay at the crown hotel on a sunday night .
The price was absolute value.
The down stairs surroundings lovely and room large and comfortable , not modern but clean and comfortable.
Car parking was ordered on arrival and available.
All in all a lovely stress free experience.
Think the parking cost is expensive £60 for 4 nights I probably wouldn’t have booked this hotel had it been explained when I booked. Hotel was ok could do with some updating.
Little disappointed with our stay. Yes, it’s an old hotel but things like cracked windows in our room, curtains that keep next to no light out whatsoever and sofas who’s cushions haven’t been lifted for months to clean beneath them isn’t really acceptable.
Location is fantastic however but I’d strongly recommend paying the extra £3 per night (£15 in total) to secure your parking space as they’re very limited.
Other positives - Excellent breakfasts and friendly, helpful staff.
Would we stay again - Harrogate, most definitely but not this hotel unfortunately, it just wasn’t for us.
Staff are always friendly and welcoming. The room was very bright and sunny which we liked.Unfortunately it was a Bank Holiday weekend with a lot of revellers.

Disliked: Property conditions & facilities
Good central location. However, lacking a designated car drop off point for luggage, which leads to chaos and confusion. Room extremely disappointing, peeling wallpaper, water damaged plaster work on walls and ceiling, rooms cold on returning in evening although radiator switched on. Bath had chipped enamel. No electric plugs close to beds for phone charging.
A grand hotel but could do with a refurb of the bedrooms, not enough wall sockets in the rooms either. Breakfast was really good. The location was central and had a pleasant stay, would stay there again
