The hotel is so large took us 10mins to walk to reception from our room. There are kids everywhere so not the place to go for couples. They literally were running around corridors, bar and restaurants!! Carnage

Check-in was awful as we had to wait in the cold for ages in a queue that stretched out of the front door. Then my daughter and I were told we had 'requested' twin rooms which we did not do. We checked our booking and we had requested double rooms. My room was right next to a stairwell and the door banged all night. My daughter was given a 'dog friendly' room which had a dog bed in it and the room smelled like a 'dog' and her bathroom was a disabled wet room which she did not request!! In my room the bathroom needed a good clean. There was hair in the basin and the bath so the bathroom hadn't been cleaned properly. There is a plant growing through the bathroom window and this needs to be cut back on the outside of the room! The pillows on the beds are truly awful! So cheap and lumpy! And to top it all, we really struggled to find a parking at this venue! That was such a challenge. Large cars taking up two parking spaces. Why is no one policing this! Needless to say I would not want to ever stay at this venue again.

The buffet dinner and breakfast provided excellent value for money, especially with children. The hotel itself was absolutely massive but the staff were helpful and provided maps. The room was comfy and well heated, although sone of the corridors and communal areas were a bit cold. The pool the next day was very nice for kids, with lots of pool noodles and floats for them to play with (although the changing room was FREEZING!) we came away loving our stay and promising that we’d be returning

The staff were lovely. The main reception is way too far from the rooms and the layout of the hotel in general is very confusing. We had a large room with a very old fashioned heating system which meant that we were cold all night. Also the external window in the corridor outside our room was open (there was no way of closing it) and this meant there was a draught coming in to our room. I am unsure if there is a need for an external window to be open in the middle of winter! Some of the ‘clean’towels in our room were heavily stained. The lack of literature in the room is annoying - there’s a QR code that is meant to provide all the info you need but it was very basic and didn’t even have the breakfast times down there. Lack of eating options - it could benefit from a cafe or make take out options to eat in the room. Room service would be a fantastic option to have. Breakfast was fantastic - not too busy, plenty of choice and staff were friendly and helpful.
