The hotel lobby is lovely and the bar. The lift was broken so a bit of a wait for the other one that was full up a few times.
The breakfast wasn't very nice. The sausages were tasteless and weren't browned, the scrambled eggs didnt' taste like they were made fresh, the toaster burnt the bread on one side.

Grand???
Nothing special as a hotel, decent friendly staff TBF & an excellent location. We stay in Bristol quite regularly & there are far better options for similar money.
The staff were excellent, couldn’t do enough to help.

Disapointing
Great staff at check in very informative
Room 408 VERY DISAPPOINTING for the money we paid for one night.
Very small room, just enough room to walk around bed.
Bath enamel chipped, black mould around sink, to be honest £180 for 1 night in this room wax terrible value for money.
Overnight stay for city break with child. Had a twin room that was comfortable and cleanly. Very pleased with check in and out process and quality of breakfast. Great central location.
The staff were all really friendly and welcoming. I stayed in a compact room and it did the job as I was only staying for 1-night for work purposes. Some of the furnishings could do with updating e.g., mirror in the bathroom had seen better days, carpet was wearing in some areas. The walls/doors aren’t very thick so you can hear other nearby rooms. Also, the water pipes are quite old and make a noise when others are using showers/taps. However, I am pretty good at blocking these noises out so it didn’t phase me so much.

It’s okay.
Everything about the hotel is just okay really. It did the job and we didn’t have any major complaints apart from the state of the bath which was black with filth. We stayed in room 316 and at check in we were told that there was an event with loud music happening until 1am and the hotel was fully booked so we couldn’t change rooms, so we didn’t bother to complain and just wore flip flops while showering!
We really enjoyed our stay the service at check in was great very friendly. The room was great for what we wanted the only issue I would have is the duvet I think it had seen better days it felt more like a sheet than anything! Bed was really comfortable though.
Breakfast was perfect it had everything that we needed, nothing was too much trouble for the staff
Was expecting slightly more for a 4* no robe, only a kettle, not coffee machine & no fridge/bottled water provided.
Small room (realise it's like the budget room) very creaky floorboards and no main light, just bedside lights.
Doors constantly slamming at night, only 1 life working.
Think £17 per night parking is outrageous, should be free or HEAVILY discounted.
Looks lovely from the outside but lacking in quality.

This is rated a 4☆ hotel but falls short in many respects. My room was ok but the bed, duvet and pillows were awful. The bathroom was beyond awful and really needs refurbishing. Housekeeping did a good job but for some reason didn't wash our mugs after being used in the morning. I do wonder if getting a deal through Expedia is not the best idea as maybe inferior rooms are allocated? Breakfast looked promising but wasn't very nice. The chap on reception when we arrived was lovely.
