The hotel is in a great location, metres from Cabot Circus and a 10 minute walk from the train station. The receptionist was not very friendly or helpful. The room was clean and airy although everywhere looked a bit tired and in need of decorating. The breakfast was excellent and loads of options.

My room was nice. I could have had nicer pillows and a remote control that worked. I had breakfast but wasn’t told what time it was, as the staff were new at the desk. Otherwise it was lovely, minor issues.

Wasn’t what I expected! Area around the hotel which I know is out of their control didn’t feel too safe, again out of their control but guests coming in at 4.30am were so loud waking us up! We were in the room in the morning getting ready to leave and the cleaner better the room 3 times! Reception staff on check in were really helpful not as friendly on checking out! The Ncp carpark next door aswell, great security but smelt of wee! I don’t think I’d stay again.

The hotel is one of our go to hotels when visiting Bristol but the adjacent NCP car park doesn't inspire confidence when solo walking after parking.

Weekend break

A long weekend with my daughter in Bristol. We stayed in a Marriott hotel in London last month and now the Marriott hotels are my favourite place to stay. I love the scent in the foyer! I am tempted to buy it! The room wasn’t ready on our arrival despite it being after 10 pm, but the receptionist was very good and got it sorted in a reasonable time.

Noisy location

Was at hotel for conference. The main issue for me is the noisy location, I got 'parkside' rooms on two different stays, however there is a busy road on this side as well as a busier dual carriageway the other side. My first third floor room was noisy with bus, motorbike noises and vibrations and the window was hot to the touch (don't know why, it was not mid-summer). The second ninth floor room was better but there was still some noise. The hotel is good for conferences and handy for city centre shops. Breakfast OK.
