Lovely art deco hotel.

Lovely hotel. Art deco vibes. We had a cosy double dont thinks its worth paying extra for a normal double just for a little extra room for 2 people. Room 131 is right next to the doors to the stairs and they bang which is loud. They could do with a doft xlose on them. Our room had no shower gel either and looked out over construction at the back if the train station.

I had a fantastic experience at The Queens Hotel in Leeds. From the moment I arrived, the staff were warm, welcoming, and incredibly helpful. The hotel itself is beautifully decorated, blending classic elegance with modern comfort. My room was spacious, spotless, and offered a lovely view of the city. The location is unbeatable—right in the heart of Leeds, with easy access to shops, restaurants, and the train station. I especially appreciated the attention to detail and the overall atmosphere of luxury. Highly recommended for both business and leisure stays!

generally very happy with stay. Hotel was very nice. One thing which would improve the initial appearance of hotel would be to vacuum the carpet on entrance steps, this was filthy.

Poor cleanliness

We have stayed a few times at the queens Leeds and never before have I arrived to dirty entrance and dirty room The entrance mat to the front of the hotel was filthy with hair We ordered a light snack in the bar area which was nice food but Our cutlery was dirty and I had to return Upon entering our room it felt dirty the paint work was chipped and dirty marks all up the walls then bathroom had hair left in the sink and shower and the surface had dust all around it, the bedding was clean the kettle was dirty with limescale all around then pouring point ( which I know this is a build up and cannot be helped in hard water areas but it can be removed with the correct cleaning method the surface areas in the bedroom were very unclean aswell I had to wipe all the surfaces down with wipes before even unpacking it’s a shame this room was signed off for check in as like I said before we have stayed a few times location is great but this finding of uncleanliness will for sure make me not stay here again

The room and bathroom were disappointing. I emailed the reservation manager as soon as I saw the room and expressed my disappointment. Two days later and checked out of the hotel I’m still waiting for an answer.

What was good: Excellent for train travellers who can walk straight into the hotel from the station. Courteous staff. Clean smallish size room. Breakfast - average, very polite staff. Scope for improvement: Telephone answer time was very long on most occasions. In spite of 3 terminals, there were only one staff during check-in and this caused a long queue/delay. No access with car - not even to drop off the luggage. Unsure how someone with special needs would manage. Wall mounted toiletries - Soap in shower ran out on the first day and on the hand basin area on the 3rd! The former was replenished on request but not the later! The shower enclosure leaked water on the floor needing sealant on the next day! The area right next to the main entrance and around the streets could feel a little off-putting late in night at times, although this never ended up in any incident! Overall - Average. Will I stay here again: if travelling by train - may consider. However, will definitely look at alternatives!
