Examples of poor customer service - check in was okay but not warm. Reception night staff had to be called for overnight disturbance/breach of the peace. Someone attended, requested quiet and left. Then did not return to check. It created only a short interval before the fighting recommenced. If I had been alone – I would have called the Police! When asked about there being insufficient food available at breakfast, the staff member (male) replied “I only have two legs!” No apology or explanation provided. Nor help offered. Again at check out, when we mentioned the poor standards, the lady on reception merely shrugged, did not pursue a conversation and generally looked as if she was out of a job anyway and had heard it all before many times. Staff morale is non-existent. Cleanliness was not great – dirty windows and tables. Had to get our own cutlery and clear our table ourselves both mornings of the stay before we could eat breakfast. The pool was closed by 6.30 pm on Friday night. Worst of all though, we were unable to sleep due to all night disturbances – loud arguments in rooms and corridors, door slamming, swearing and eventually car horn sounding. When you go to a hotel you expect to be able to get some sleep! This is no longer a 4 star hotel. Time to change the rating to 3 stars! We paid £381.80 for two nights – never again! Having been previously, when it was run by Hilton, this was a huge disappointment!

The hotel is nothing like as advertised on the internet. It’s was a dirty huge building that needs cleaning on the inside & on the outside. The lobby area floors need cleaning. My room had not been vacuumed as there was crumbs all over the floor. And the partial sea view was atrocious all we could see was a roof top with pipes which looked like an oil rig !!! I would never stay there again as it wasn’t worth the money neither.

Room wasn’t clean smoke ashes in the corner & carpet wasn’t vacuumed.

I booked this hotel for my wife daughter son and granddaughter, the toilet didn’t flush , someone in one of the adjoining rooms was smoking and our room smelt like an ashtray all our clothes smelt of smoke . When these issues where reported to the receptionist on the first night nothing was done so we reminded them of the issue and just got fobed off , on leaving at the end of our stay my wife informed receptionist she wanted to make a formal complaint and she said I will pass it on , not the response we expected . We booked this hotel through this platform as we have in the past and feel severely let down 😒

Thoroughly enjoyed our recent visit to The Grand hotel, Blackpool which is situated on the promenade close to tram and bus stops. Our room was extremely clean and we were impressed to find we had a sea view. A safe, fridge with bottled water on arrival and all the usual bathroom toiletries were available, as was an ironing board, iron, hairdrier and a good selection of tea/coffee and biscuits. The staff were all polite and helpful and the restaurant was in pleasant surroundings with the buffet breakfast providing everything needed to get the day off to a good start! The only down side was the room was a tad chilly. It was windy and raining outside and when we got back from shopping we were cold and wet and we could’ve done with having some heating on but couldn’t get the radiator to work. The duvets were a tad on the ‘thin’ side too but were adequate. We would definitely stay here again and would recommend it to friends and family.

Hotel good in general,stayed here many times before. Usual under staffing,food served lukewarm,new chef,ran out of food 6.30?? Young staff in restaurant,on tbeir own,16yrs old,no supervisior on duty??,new chef brought staff to tears,??no duty of care here.that had been my daughter, he would be eating hosp food,disgraceful,it amounts to bullying,against the law,reported this to reception on the night.management sort this out,the buck stops with you,you would be up before the judge,will think hard before retuning here.

The evening meal for 3 courses was cheap but the standard was poor. The bathroom in our room smelt heavily of cigarettes. The loo did not flush well. Unfortunately it was very windy during our visit, but the noise around the window, especally at night, was horrendous, & it felt as if the window might smash at any moment. The public transport system from the hotel was excellent. The swimming pool in the hotel was good, & lovely & warm. The staff were generally friendly & helpful.

Great Hotel

We came for our honeymoon just to get away a couple off days. Room was clean. No fridge but lots off other items. Helpful when we run out off tea and coffee gave us more. Food was good. Restaurant staff were very friendly and polite. The new girl who had started the same day we came was very nice and could not help us enough. Only downside could not get a hot drink at dinner time. Plenty off water but nothing hot. But over all very happy with our stay and planing our next stay for next year.
Beautiful surroundings.
Did not have to go far to see the lights.
