I recently stayed at this hotel and unfortunately, it was a very disappointing experience. From the moment I arrived, the place felt tired and poorly maintained. The room was dirty – dust on surfaces, stains on the carpet, and the bathroom looked like it hadn’t been properly cleaned in some time. The whole place felt run-down and in need of serious attention. Check-in was slow and unwelcoming. Staff seemed disinterested and offered little information or assistance. It felt like we were an inconvenience rather than paying guests. Breakfast was no better. Poorly stocked, lukewarm food, and again, very little customer service. Tables weren’t being cleared, and the overall atmosphere was chaotic and uninviting. Overall, I wouldn’t stay here again and definitely wouldn’t recommend it. There are much better options available at similar prices – this one just doesn’t live up to even the most basic standards.

Stayed here lots of times just me and my son. Soon as got out of the lift for our room the smell of ciggarette smoke was terrible, eveb our room had a slight smell. I rang down stairs but no answer so we went swimming. When comong back from swimming the smell was even worse. I went to speak to recpetion onxe we went down early evening and the man just said " what floor r u on" so i told him and he wrote something down and that was it. There was no im sorry or can we swap your room or anything i was a bit gobsmacked so just left it and i felt awkward not knowing what to say. Then non of the drinks we wanted were available and ran out at the bar. Then constant knocking and banging on our bedroom wall very late then again early in the morning. To add to that aswell there was long hair on the bathroom floor and lots of it

Came to stay for the weekend to attend a wedding... on arrival, place looks amazing.... then getting keys to open the room....shocked..... its nothing like the pictures or even the decoration of down stairs. The room is old fashioned. Lamp shades dont fit the lamps, TV kept turning off.. only 3 plugs to use.. bath was dirty and stained. Then i had to go on the hunt to find toilet rolls and clean bath towels , twice ! Also hunting for th3 coffee and tea bags as none were left as no house keeping came at all. This place isnt cheap nearly 300 pound for 2 nights.. and you have to pay extra for car parking per day. The kettle is all dented. There isnt anything grand about this place at all.

Such a shame! This hotel used to be great when it was the Hilton. I was very saddened to see how it has gone downhill. On arrival, the car park at the back had a lot of rubbish and dirty nappies blowing around. The back doors were jammed and wouldn’t open and we had to go round to the front. Staff were nice and friendly. I stayed here with my dogs and it was quite cheap to stay, so I can’t really complain too much. I had a decent night’s sleep and the bed was quite comfy. On day 2 there was a leak in the roof and a bucket to catch the water near the front entrance. I sadly wouldn’t stay here again. It could be so much better than it is, but for the money, you def get what you pay for.

Overall not a bad stay. The room was slightly dated and worn but not really an issue. Only problem was the mattress was extremely loud and springy. Other than that i would stay again.

Its OK - you get what you pay for

The hotel is worn out, the bed squeaked a bit. everything looked a bit old. Its £2 per day to use the swimming pool area and the paint is peeling a bit on the sauna. £1 coin needed for the locker (although its a cashless hotel). The staff are really nice, you can tell they are struggling a bit, but they do their best. Shout out to the lad in the bar on the Saturday night that was doing at least three people's job
