Check in and out was simple. The room was a decent size and clean but a little tired in places. The pub was decent as was the evening meal. The menu had limied choice for those looking for lighter or healthier evening meals. Staff seemed a bit glum. All in all, for the price paid I think The Spread Eagle was reasonable value for money.
My kettle was absolutely covered in scale so at first couldnt make bottles for my baby was in a family room with my children was no tv on wall only a bracket& the hotel itself was quite dated. The staff was extremely slow at check-in & no-one answered phone when i tried ringing down about my kettle.
Room was clean & tidy staff very friendly nice breakfast if theere was anything it would probably be the room bathroom was a bit dated but everything worked fine would stay again were looking to come back in november for weekend we will b staying wi yourselfs if possible
stayed for three nights very good room was clean and tidy staff were very friendly and helpful breakfast was great food hot and fresh better to be early for breakfast dinner was also good three courses price very reasonable all in all it was a very good stay i would definitely stay there again
Waited ages to check in no staff around at all room was very very warm ni control on heater ! Shower was broken lots if hairs in bath gave thus place a 2nd chance wont give a 3rd

Room was tidy and clean and presented well when checked in. Rooms are quite plain and dated but to be expected from an old hotel. Noticed vandalism and holes in the walls in our room, our bathtub had orange stains in too. Could do with work done to the rooms to make it look fresh and well maintained. Mattress was all spring and quite thin so was a bit uncomfortable. The room served its purpose of somewhere to stay that was close to the town centre. Staff were great and so was the location. Only 2-3 min walk to the tram station which was useful for getting in Blackpool quick and easy. Could do with a zebra crossing or light crossing outside to help with crossing the road as it was quite difficult. There is also a co op about a 3 min walk that stock essentials like food and snacks which I found useful
Had to wait for our room as was not ready room was clean bar not stocked well was ok very close to railway station handy for winter gardens

Liked: Cleanliness, amenities
Everything looks tired and in need of an update generally and around the hotel.
My room was very clean and looks up to date, although disappointing there was no bath. Personal preference.
The pool, sauna and steam room could do with some tlc in regards to the finish, as it’s a bit tatty.
Would I stay there again, not with the Imperial next door with a similar cost.
Great hotel location and the pool and particularly the pool staff were great …

Liked: Room comfort
Room was pleasant & spacious
Bed was extra large & comfortable
Happy enough with the room with seaview though couldnt see clearly through the glass
Other guests were the issue, no consideration in regards to noise, all hours of the morning making sleep difficult to say the least
A generally well kept hotel, clean interior, dining room, bar. The staff were quick and helpful when I asked for a heater to keep the chill out of our room for my wife, who is disabled and feels the cold. They were fasg in sending maintenance staff to unblock the shower room sknk.
Friendly staff, clean room linens and tasty traditional food, served in a relaxed buffet style restaurant.

Liked: Cleanliness, staff & service, room comfort
It was not really the hotes fault that there was a Morris dancing comption on the day we arrived so it was rather noisey!! We put our luggage in the room & went out so we missed the use of the spa. one of the reasons for booking this hotel.
The room was ok with a sea veiw but I would descibe it as tired, the bed was comfy so that was good.
We opted for breakfast in the morning, this was nice & tastey, very small plates though.
Staff on reception were most helpful
Over all the stay was ok, Carpark handy & close to a tram stop.
We would retun for the night.
