The staff were adequate but not particularly hospitable. Check in was delayed to around 3:20 as we were told the room was not ready. We requested some extra pillows via the online chat service at around 7pm, but nothing ever materialised and no one contacted us about it. Stay was otherwise okay, but service was abit lacking.

Again, the shower head had half of the nossels blocked with limescale. I cleaned these out myself then it flowed properly. The drain took ages to disperse the water. Every time we use the bar, the staff's priority seems to be to set up the tables for the morning and get everyone out. We are usually asked to leave the bar by around 10pm. This is not a welcoming experience, and from a business perspective, not very commerical. We also regularly get asked if we are ready for our main course, while visibly still midway through our starters. This week, they had problems with their CO2 in the bar so they had no draft drinks on Monday meaning that we ended up eating elsewhere.

Whilst the hotel is ok - the rooms are getting tired. Heating doesn’t work properly. Showers over the part three stays have been really poor. Certainly don’t leave feeling refreshed. I certainly feel this will be my last stay at Watford

Nice hotel. Lovely pool. Rooms are a good size but a bit dark with lots of dark colours which is not the nicest. Very convenient for Harry Potter studios though! The bar is prettt decent with nice food too.

Stay is usually ok in this hotel but this time, each morning I was woken by a loud woman’s voice microphone and music, I was on the 1st floor, on investigation I found a fitness class happens early every morning just below my room, I asked reception to move me but was declined as the hotel is full, not sure about that as there where still rooms available on hotels.com they also commented and said we have told them lots of times to tone the level down. After work that day I proceeded to the health club reception and asked why is the woman with the mic and loud voice with music determined to wake the entire hotel up at stupid o’clock, if I wanted to join her class I would have attended.

Club room is lovely very well equiped and an excellent bed. The Starbucks chocolate coins were a nice touch. Towel rail/hooks not in accessible position for shower. Receptions and housekeeping staff lovely. Leisure facilities are excellent and Starbucks staff friendly and helpful. Bar staff poor - not experienced and no warmth. Called last orders at 10.55 and everyone moved out to reception lobby at 11pm. Food choice, quality and quantity for price is poor.
