Wonderful stay

My family (of four) had a lovely stay here. We had a family room, which was a double room with an adjoining room with bunk beds for our children. Very clean room and comfortable beds. Breakfast was wonderful, lots of selection and perfectly cooked breakfast. Welcoming and kind hosts. Walkable distance into the centre of York. Short cut through to the train station was very handy.

We had a comfortable stay at this property for 4 nights. The location is quite convenient and walkable from the railway station. There are several fast food joints in walkable distance. The owners and staff were welcoming and friendly. The breakfast was reasonably good with a decent spread. While we noticed that most of the rooms were quite well maintained, the furnishings in the family room where we stayed were slightly old and run down, so taking one star off the overall rating. At the same time, the bedding and towels provided were very clean. I would not hesitate to recommend this place to stay.

Beautiful little B&B with very friendly staff and a cute Apple theme. The decor is a little outdated, but it's clean with comfortable beds. Walking distance from the train station and a short walk into town, it's great if you're looking for a budget friendly option to crash in after exploring York all day.

Danielle has designed a fantastic, welcoming atmosphere at The Apple House. She and her staff made sure we had what we needed during our stay - directions & sight seeing suggestions included. The room was clean & comfortable, breakfast was delicious and filling. We would love to come back and stay at The Apple House!

The place is lovely and very well kept. Walkable distance to all city attractions. Great customer service. Bus stop right in front of the building , train station 10 min walk. Delicious breakfast. I highly recommend this hotel.

Lovely pleasant place

I found the Hotel easily from the Railway Station after a short walk. I found everything about the place lovely! Lovely room with all you need available, lovely comfortable bed and a lovely Breakfast with everything you could to need! Staff lovely and polite. The only downside was its position on a main road and by forgetting to shut window/ bathroom door got woke up by the morning commute!!!

It was my second stay at the Apple and it was everything I wanted. Comfy bed, clean spaces and a smashing breakfast. Excellent service throughout and friendly staff.

Would definitely recommend and stay again. Plenty of parking, decent sized rooms with everything we needed. Restocked every day (tea, coffee, toiletries), which was very nice. Excellent breakfast, plenty of choice, freshly cooked to our timeslot. Hosts remembered what we asked for and we could change bits if we wanted. Room had everything we needed. Tea/coffee, water, hairdryer, fans, iron plus board, shower gel, shampoo, plenty of clean towels. Room was perfect size for us even had a dressing table for my partner to get ready at. Very good shower too Key for the room and fob for the front door so we could come and go as we pleased. 10-15 minute walk and you were in the middle of York so excellent location also. Only very minor criticism was the heating was not on when it was a cold evening (February), but would then come on in the middle of the night so we would wake up a bit too hot.

There was nothing to dislike about the Apple House. It was welcoming and friendly, very clean and comfortable. The breakfasts were excellent. If I need to stay in a York hotel again, I would choose the Apple House.
