This was our second stay at the Chateau Victoria Hotel. During this visit, we were initially assigned a room at street level that was directly across from the parkade and above the roundabout at the front of the hotel. The room lacked privacy, as someone standing in the parkade or on the street could easily see inside. The staff were very courteous and accommodating and kindly moved us to a different room. The second room was located at the back of the hotel and was level with another parking lot. Unfortunately, it was positioned above a very loud fan or mechanical unit that vibrated the floor when it cycled on and off, which made the room uncomfortable. We wondered if a quieter room might have been available had we paid more for a different floor or room category. We were also looking forward to returning to Vista 18 for breakfast, as we had enjoyed it on our previous visit. However, this time we both had a negative reaction to our meals, possibly due to the hollandaise sauce. Overall, the hotel is in a great location and the rooms are clean, but this stay was not as enjoyable as our previous experience.

Property is aging, room was so hot, even with heat turned off. Overall lovely weekend, doorman Herb is excellent, so friendly and helpful. Food and drinks and service was great at Clive’s and Vista 18

The hotel staff went above and beyond to make the stay pleasant. We were also impressed with hotel bellboy service who built Lego copy of the hotel in his free time. Amenities were clean and cozy. My room was on the 12th floor with the breathtaking view of the sunrise every morning.
