Overall, this hotel is quite nice, with a great location right by the Parliament Building and the harbor. It’s very quiet, and the rooms are well-equipped, making it suitable for families. The only downside was the arrangement at the front desk. I booked two rooms, and at check-in, they initially assigned me rooms on two different floors. After I raised my concern, they assigned me two rooms on the same floor, but they were at opposite ends, requiring a long walk between them.

Great location and close to downtown. The exercise room was too small and couldn’t accommodate more than 2 people and that’s only if one person is on a treadmill or bike. The hot tub is great. The bed was hard and not very comfortable but liveable for a short stay.

The Royal Scot is a quaint hotel with great service and is very close and walkable to so many restaurants, tourist spots, the waterfront, groceries and much more. The staff was friendly and service requests were prompt. Would definitely recommend!

My likes and dislikes: Likes: Staff was phenomenal, so kind and accommodating. Our room was super clean, had the chance to speak to some cleaning staff and they were the sweetest most attentive ladies. Location also was 10/10, right next to the parliament building. We were able to get to all of our destinations on foot. Dislike: (this is not the staffs fault by any means) there is a very strong smell in the building, not so much the lobby but it was very strong on the second floor where we stayed. It’s not an unclean smell, I suppose it may be due to how old the building is. Our room had an equally strong smell and we had to keep the fan running to get rid of it. That being said, I would 100% stay here again. Thanks for having us!

This hotel is older but it is well maintained and clean. Very walkable. We had a 1 bedroom suite. Really enjoed the extra space and having the kitchen. Would definitely stay there again.

This older hotel has embraced its age and keeps a lovely feeling because of it. Rooms are large and clean with an older vibe in an older neighborhood right next to the legislature and a block off the inner harbour, yet manages to be quiet at night. Can't get a better location!
