The hotel itself is beautiful - the room was also very clean. Disappointed in the service a little, my husband asked whether anything could be done as we were celebrating a babymoon and were told a treat would be in the room at check in - it was not. He tried again and was told it would be there the next day at 2pm, nothing. Ended up getting it the day we were checking out and that after my husband made 3-4 attempts for it. I asked for a robe for my daughter and that too, took a day and I had to ask 3 different staff members for it. We dined at the Mallard Lounge, ordered 4 food items off the menu, but only got 2/4 after a long wait - left disappointed and decided to just get back to the hotel room and ordered milk and cookies which was also a 40 minute wait. Overall the attention and service was just a miss this weekend, so I don’t know if I would stay here again or put in a little extra and stay at the Four Seasons next time.

Service and Bedding needs improvement

Clean and spacious and mostly comfortable except for the pull out couch, which was not supportive to sleep on at all. This needs to be replaced. Good temperature controls, the bathrooms kitchen and living room area were great, but it was missing spoons for basic use. The service could use some improvement. We had asked for some plates and cutlery to be sent up but after not receiving them for 45 mins, we called the concierge, and turns out there was record indicating they were delivered which didn’t make any sense. We had to ask again and waited a long while before we received them. By then we had already finished eating our meal without plates/cutlery! If delivery will take longer than expected then please say so. How does the delivered status get back checked? The bedding and service need review and improvement for a Fairmont experience. The amenities were wonderful (outdoor saunas, pool, steam room) We received great service from the bellhops. They were efficient and polite.

We had very nice and pleasant stay in Fairmont Whistler, It's just a short walk to Blackcomb ski gondola and maybe 10 min walk to Whistler village. The hotel is a bit pricy but if money doesn't matter for your stay surely recommend it.
