This might be the best value in all of Tokyo. Gotanda is so convenient to other areas (it's a quick hop to Shibuya and Shinjuku) while also having its own charms and food options (tip: there are a couple really good standing sushi spots nearby and one of the best tonkatsus I've ever had). It's also way less intense than those other areas and I appreciated that every evening when I'd come home exhausted and ready to relax. I appreciated that there is a grocery store one block over where I could find fresh veggies and a waterfront nearby for early morning strolls (it was even illuminated at night for the holiday season). As for the property itself: your usual small-ish room, nice pajamas provided though. Comfortable bed, clean bathroom. Reception is on the 15th floor and there are small areas both indoors and outdoors to hangout but sadly no real lounge to hangout and meet other travelers. The public bath on the rooftop is just spectacular and feels pretty unusual, at least I haven't come across another property that has one at this price. In a way the whole experience had a sense of quiet luxury -- not at the scale of the Park Hyatt and the standard rooms are small but for the money I don't think you can do much better in Tokyo.

I really enjoyed my stay. Great location just a few minutes walk to Gotanda station and the JR Yamanote line. Room was super clean, comfortable and quiet. Took advantage of the public bath to wind down at the end of the day - it was surprisingly always empty.

Front desk and cleaning staff were great. The room was very clean and everything was in excellent working order. We had a room with 1 double bed. The next time I will get a room with 2 beds since our room was a bit tight.

Gorgeous views from the lobby terrace and the onsen was such a special addition to my trip. I found the room spacious and beds very comfortable. I would definitely recommend this hotel and come back. The metro access is so easy.

I loved how convenient the location was near a Lawson's, food options, train station. Breakfast was good. I only wish the women's Onsen had a better view, but otherwise I loved it. Very clean.

My friend and I shared a twin room, which had plenty of space for 2 check-in size luggage and 2 carry-ons. Staff were really helpful to inform us about luggage delivery services to the airport. Housekeeping is optional according to the magnets you can stick outside your door. My friend got her period overnight and they changed all her bedding and provided new roomwear as well. The elevators can be slow at times but overall a very comfortable stay :)

We love this hotel and stay here whenever we are in Tokyo. The Gotanda station is just a couple blocks away. We use the Ikegami line to go to my aunt’s house and the JR line to meet friends/cousins for shopping and dining. There’s a convenient store and a great Italian restaurant on the firs floor, and a 7-11 just down the street. There are lots of dining and shopping nearby. The restaurant on the first floor serves an awesome buffet breakfast. The Japanese style spa/bath on the top floor is awesome but make sure you know all the rules before you go in. The coin laundry is ok. It’s a washer/dryer combo and it did not dry well. The 15th floor lobby has an awesome balcony/sitting area. I love getting a cup of coffee and doing my quiet time here every morning. We love this place!
