With a huge variety of choices on where to stay we're really glad that we chose Hotel Monterey Akasaka for our week in Tokyo. The room was more spacious than expected for Tokyo, very clean, and walking distance to many restaurants and a nearby station. The bed was comfortable (fairly firm but not too much so) and the shower was excellent with strong water force and a heated mirror. They also offered some free amenities such as beverages and face masks. We had a wonderful experience and would not hesitate to return in the future.
This is a good hotel in the business district of Tokyo. We booked a room for three adults, but it was really a room for two and they just added an extra bed, so it was quite tight. Bathroom is small, but it has everything you need. Overall it was good for a two night stay.
If you are a tourist and looking for a place to stay that’s tourist friendly. Please come here.

Disliked: Staff & service, amenities
Front desk staff were rude and not willing yo assist us. Tried to offer a service without advising the costs associated with the service. Would not recommend staying here.
We really enjoyed our stay at Hotel Monterey. The staff were very friendly and helpful, especially when it came to forwarding our luggage. The rooms were consistently clean and restocked.
Breakfast was a little expensive for us, but luckily the area is very walkable with plenty of conbini and restaurants nearby
Great location in central hub near Tokyo government at reasonable price. Minutes walk to subway and hundreds of bars/restaurants but not located inside the active zone. Not super modern but clean and friendly place to stay. Rooms smallish but expected in Tokyo.
About 10 minute walk from closest metro station. Bathroom layout inconvenient for 3 people. I prefer hotels with separate sink and shower, instead of all in one room. Close to lively Izakaya dining area and Harry Potter themed cafe and metro station.
Stayed at this hotel for an "away from the busy" reason. It lived up to it very much. Still very close to the main bus lines. Great experience, loved it.
Overall not too bad, somehow it's a bit old style and quite a distance to subway

The property was in a really good area and was clean. Our room was a good size and clean. Carpet looked tired but this was not a problem. Staff were great and really helpful and the location was good.
