We had a nice room on the 10th with a large comfortable bed, everything was clean and well cared for with lovely soft towels. Tea making equipment and biscuits provided. All of the staff from reception, waiting and cleaners were very friendly and helpful

Well used property but clean and still acceptable. Car park underneath building is discounted to £12 per night. Room was ok but breakfast was a shambles with lack of staff and no real organisation albeit the food was good. Had to wait for a table and food/plates etc to be replenished on both days of our stay and all staff were showing the pressure with no one smiling or enjoying being there. Probably won’t be back again.

Find an alternative hotel

We had an executive room which was the same as our daughters non executive room so don't bother paying more for executive. Carpet in our room (904) was very dirty - I told reception so hopefully they have addressed this now. Netting at the window (already had protective opening) did nothing to add to the atmosphere. Only 1 person serving in the bar Saturday evening when we had hoped to order bar snacks and drinks so there was a long queue and we gave up.

Good location for getting into town centre. Very hot in room, air con inefficient and couldn’t open window due to netting on outside. Staff are friendly and the breakfast had plenty of options too.

We've stayed before, the hotel overall is extremely good and staff in all areas and departments are polite and very helpful. The hotel is quite busy remains quiet and relaxing. If there is a downside, the bathrooms are tired and need upgrading. We always have an exec room. They have been modernised and upgraded, with the exception of carpets. But the bathrooms have not. Our extractor fan didn't work at all.
