Nice simple hotel with nice rooms and breakfast. We suffered from noisy neighbours in our hall however and with a young family this was not ideal. The walls seem to be thin!

The room was very modern and well-appointed. We had everything we needed and the design, lighting behind bed were appealing. However, the bathroom was very small and could have used an update. The room was also quite “tight” for a family of 4. For 1-2 people it would be great. For 4, we were tripping over stuff and each other a bit. The hallways and common areas were very nice and well decorated and it was a very good location.

Positives: The hotel benefits from a great location, friendly and helpful staff, and convenient technology such as an app to unlock room doors. On-site parking, although limited, was a valuable feature that removed the hassle of searching for a space elsewhere. Negatives: The bathroom was disappointing. The towel rack was barely attached to the wall, with raw plugs visibly exposed, giving an unfinished feel. Additionally, the shower was underwhelming and did not meet the standard one would expect from a Hilton Hotel.

This is a very nice hotel but not up to the Hilton standards that you might expect. Overall, the staff are great and the room was nice but the hotel feels like it needs a little more polish.

The hotel is great and a good location. But the check in process requires you to fill in a form which is basically an information trawling exercise to get you to give Hilton hotels your email , address and so on. Just refuse to fill it in, there is no need for them to have your details or send you spam.

The absence of air conditioning. Coming from North America and arriving at York on a very humid day first thing I was looking for was to turn on the air conditioner. I realized now that’s one luxury not common in UK.

This was an awful hotel. Our room was boiling hot. It was dusty, desperately in need of refurbishment, with a blocked bath. So disappointed. It was expensive and I feel totally fleeced. I complained at the time and asked to be moved. They were fully booked. I’ve stayed at many Hilton hotels, but none like this - ever. Don’t waste your money. Go somewhere else.

Firstly, hotel is very central but not worth the money. We paid nearly £400 for 2 nights B&B. Breakfast was not the usual Hilton standard and quite poor. Parking was an additional £30 per night. Our total spend being £460.

Nice stay but could have better.

Nice Hotel overall. Was able to use the valet service to park which was straight forward. We arrived early but the room was ready so we had an earlier check in. Room clean and glad of air conditioning as it was very hot when we went. Didn't use the restaurant or the bar but did look nice. Table lamp not working but we managed without. Tea and coffee making facilities available but is stored on a shelf under the desk so not easy to get out. Not a lot of places for clothes etc. but we were only there for 2 nights so it would only be a problem if you were staying longer. Wardrobe had iron and ironing board and large safe so not much hanging space. Only 1 shelf for other clothes. Shower could have been better. Not very powerful and not a lot of room to move about. We paid extra for the balcony but although the view was nice, there was no privacy between us and the other rooms just a railing. When they were sitting outside they were extremely close so we ended up not sitting out there at all. A partition of some sort should be in place if you want to sit outside at the same time. This was disappointing because of the nice weather we feel we missed out, especially with the extra cost. The staff at reception were very helpful and professional. We didn't have contact with any of the other staff during our visit.
