Yelling and screaming went on between other guests, some domestic issue for over an hour. Nobody answered at front desk despite repeated calls. We’re kind enough to offer a late check out but felt unsafe. Nearly called 911, would have if situation escalated or didn’t finally stop. Disappointing that can’t a hold of any staff or security.
The staff at the King George get 5 stars for being friendly and polite. My room was very clean and the decor had been decorated with thoughtful updates.
Nice linens and towels plus upgraded toiletries imported from Italy. It was nice to have upgraded coffee and tea in the room and lobby. In addition, there were fresh pastries and whole fruits available in the morning. Very reasonable room rates and a great location accessible to lots of great restaurants and shopping nearby at Union Square. I will definitely recommend this to travelers seeking a good value at affordable prices.
Staff was fabulous and the hotel has a great location. The free continental breakfast was also much appreciated. I would have liked a small fridge in the room and/or ice machines, but all in all we had a great stay.
Your staff is very friendly and exceptionally helpful. They were outstanding and amazing. But the guestroom was very poor. The twin beds were very comfortable but the carpeting was very dirty and the hotel over all is very dated and in poor condition. Your location downtown was very convenient but the hotel is badly in need of a renovation. For that reason, I would not stay there again.
The hotel has wonderful lobby and rec area that makes you feel like home. Other than the following, everything is perfect for the hotel.
The bed has a pole that hits my toes everyday. ouch. There were a few brown marks in the bathroom in my room, which is a little suspicious.
The room was clean and the bed was nice. There's only one elevator which was annoying. The showerhead sprayed everywhere if you weren't careful. The outlet kept dying when I was blow-drying my hair.

HAD A FAMILY EMERGENCY, TRIED TO CANCEL SECOND NIGHT, WOULD NOT LET US CANCEL.
This place is surrounded by plenty of places to eat, shop and public transportation is within reach. Is quiet, affordable and clean. I enjoyed my stay, no complaints.
They staff was fine but the facilities were not - they had no bar/ restaurant as advertised and THE ELEVATOR WAS BROKEN the entirety of our stay (& days before and after - who knows if it was ever fixed??). Given there circumstances were known well before our arrival/ checkin, we should have been informed and provided other accommodation option. There were many people older & less mobile than us who struggled (and nearly cost us missing our departure flight as stairwells were clogged w people and staff transporting luggage). We expect a refund/ compensation of some kind (as all should)
