The room needs fixes on basic stuff. The nightstand drawers couldn't be closed. The bathroom door doesn't close and it has no lock. Room was small but ok. Elevator was very old and small.

Excellent location near Union Sq and Powell BART. Rooms are small but for a solo traveller who spends little time in his room it was absolutely fine and well-priced. The place is not new, but it was clean, staff were courteous and attentive and helped me with the extraordinary amount of sports gear I was carrying. My meeting was at the St Francis a couple hundred feet away… stayed here for the entire conference for the price of one night there. And still had time to go back to my room during breaks. Would absolutely stay here again.

The rooms were a bit small but the mattress was nice and comfy. The rooms can also use some upgrading but not bad for the price. I would have gave more stars but the elevator was down for a whole day we were there and those stairs are brutal!!!!

Pros: located close to many stores and restaurants, beds were comfortable, bathrooms were clean and had everything you need. Staff was friendly and helpful. Cons: had a loud drunk neighbor. I could hear him yelling on my ear due to a connecting door. Carpet needs some cleaning. I had stayed here before and this is the first time experiencing laud drunk guests.

The front desk gentleman was not quite welcoming nor informative! He gave us two keys that were only good for the first night of our two night stay! The elevator was in a very bad condition! The paints and wallpapers were coming off. The staff didn’t care closing the doors hard and spoke loudly late at night or early in the mornings. The room bathroom door was very hard to open and the room entrance light wouldn’t function! You had to walk in the dark and turn on the lamp inside the room. Overall, not the experience I was expecting for the price!
