I was surprised at how average this stay and hotel was given the brand and cost/fees.
One big thing: if your front desk check in procedures require written notice at each station about the excessive incidental hold policy/time/amount and has to advise travellers to use a credit card vs a debit card, it's time to revisit that policy and standards to make things more accessible and adaptable.
On the second day of our stay, we had difficulty exiting the parking garage, as the mechanical "arm" that is supposed to operate when you scan your ticket to proceed through the gate was stuck. My travel partner had to physically exit my car, and hold the broken piece of equipment up so I could move my car forward. No staff member responded to the help call button. When I went inside to the front desk to inform staff of the malfunction, I was barely acknowledged.
Anyways routine checks of equipment are advised. And a refresh of customer service standards. I'll stay elsewhere on my next visit!
