Sushi restaurant food was not fresh. Extremely overpriced for quality of food. Had to request housekeeping multiple times the same day Room service breakfast order missing items.Called front desk and still never received items but charged anyway. Called room service another day multiple times and no one ever answered. Manager called us back to say they "were busy and to stay patient" Still never got an order. This is not a hotel that is 4.5 star caliber. If hotel is understaffed to the detriment if the customer, action needs to take place to preserve the client's trust and relationship. Zero accountability. The sushi restaurant won't be in business much longer either. Extremely disappointed.

A true luxury hotel with amazing decor and amenities. This trip I took advantage of the steam and sauna rooms, the amazing fitness center, and of course, the best hotel buffet breakfast in San Francisco. I was disappointed that there were no croissants/chocolate croissants by the time I got to the breakfast. I asked my waiter about it, hoping they were going to refill those items on the buffet, but instead, he brought me piping hot croissants fresh from the oven! Who would ever imagine that the hotel would be baking their own French croissant?. The Nikko never ceases to amaze. Love this hotel.

Nice room, Elisabeth at the front desk was lovely and very helpful. It was too bad that their hotel bar was closed for the entire weekend so our group had to go elsewhere. Also, the breakfast buffet was ridiculously overpriced and they were definitely missing employees. It took 30 minutes to get a cup of coffee and the selections were very limited for $42. Overall, we love the Nikko and will be back.

We ordered chicken tenders for our daughter through room service and waited approximately 30 minutes. When the meal arrived, the chicken was raw rather than properly cooked. As this was a children’s meal, we were concerned about food safety and would appreciate follow-up regarding this issue.

I booked a hotel room for my daughter, which was her birthday. She arrives no parking available. It was full. She has to find her own parking somewhere not by the hotel in San Francisco. It is dark inconvenient not safe.

Overall, the room and staff were fabulous. It would have earned 5 stars, except that I seeked out this hotel and the junior suite room because it was supposed to have a bidet/washlet, but room 2022 did not have one. Ironically, room 2021 which was a lower priced room for our niece happened to have a washlet. If you are expecting a room with a washlet, make sure you explicitly request this at check in so you are not disappointed when you get your room since the hotel is not consistent on which room have washlets.

When I arrived San Francisco was experiencing a power outage. The hotel refused to allow me to park my car and there was plenty of room. The hotel refused to allow me to wait in the lobby. I had to sit in my car in an unsafe area! Will never stay at the Nikko again!

No longer 5 stars. Why should I pay the resort fee when: Pool closed, Jacuzzi closed, steam room and sauna closed? I chose this hotel for these features. And the backup generators enabled an elevator to run during a power outage but they told my girlfriend to wait in the lobby until the power was restored?

San Francisco had a power outage. The hotel was dark when we checked in. The power came on before bedtime but by morning the hotel had no hot water (no showers). We asked for a refund but they couldn't because the room had been charged to Expedia. So, Expedia we expect a refund from your company.
