Great location. We stayed in the Houses of Correction which are a bit tired and our room could do with a deep clean and repair work (broken floor tile in the bathroom). The bar was nice, great ambiance. Prices were very high for what you get. Staff were very helpful.

The building is unique and full of character, and the staff were generally helpful and courteous. While a few elements could be refined for a smoother guest experience, the stay was comfortable and enjoyable, and the hotel’s distinctive setting makes it a memorable place to visit.

A very welcoming feel to this hotel, the staff were helpful and approachable. The room was clean but a few things missing from our particular room for it to be great. EG no area with a mirror in the room to get ready. Seems like it is just this room though and the team took the feedback. The food was really nice and the drink choices at the bar were great. Would recommend.

We enjoyed our stay—the hotel is in a great location and abounding in charm and unique character. The only downside was our heat would cut off after a few hours, so we would awake to a 17deg Celsius room. Other than that, we loved our time at MalMaison.

The room was cool and did not warm up despite increasing the room thermostat. The water from the shower was also cool and didn’t get any better after turning the temperature up and running for a long time.

Beautiful Hotel with very welcoming staff. We only stayed a night however, would love to have stayed for longer. Incredible location within Oxford City Centre and a moments walk from the Park and Ride bus stop

Malmaison is such a cool concept. We loved that we walked almost everywhere in Oxford. The room was comfortable in general but the bathroom shower is quite small and somewhat uncomfortable. The bathroom was large enough to hold a much larger shower. Even with this minor issue, we would stay here again.

The hotel is in lovely location for walking around central Oxford. The staff are engaging and helpful to a 'T'. The reason for the low score is the room and general decor of the hotel. First: The Room. No heating in the room and bathroom. We did report it to reception and was presented with a heated that had been sat on as all four legs were so bent the base of the radiator was touching the ground. Some heat is better than none. Also, there was a fidget toy for one of the light switch. It makes a very satisfying sound, but nothing happened. Great for those with ND! Second: General Decor. Take the lift of chance. In the lift the display of which rooms/facilities were on each floor was so warn off that it was a marvelous and very tricky wordle challenge. When I pointed this out to the receptionist in the morning, I was told it was not an issue as they are getting replacement lifts soon. A does not equal B!

Good to be greeted on arrival to valet park the car. Check in was simple we arrived early so room not ready but when we came back all bags in the room. Had an upgrade so got a roll top bath which we didn’t use 😂 Bed is comfortable hotel is warm fresh looking and stylish with good quality furniture. Bar service was very good with knowledgeable bar tenders who were friendly. Not really much atmosphere in there for a Saturday night but I guess people are out on the town although we arrived back about 11.00pm it was fairly quiet in the bar. All staff very helpful and polite. Only criticism is the breakfast. Only one coffee machine so ques for a coffee is not great. Only juice option was Apple which is poor in today’s game. I had a cooked breakfast and quality of bacon was poor and over cooked, sausage was average and beans were luke warm however scrambled eggs were lovely. Others had eggs Benedict and French toast and all said they really enjoyed theirs. Overall yes it’s expensive for a nights stay but a quirky hotel with massive character. Would I go back? Probably not now I’ve been I’d try somewhere else but well worth going if you’ve never been.
